National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) and YouTube Music made an announcement on 14th October about their Save Our Stage Festival (#SOSFEST). The three-day music festival is scheduled to be held online this weekend. Hosted by Reggie Watts, the event will feature brand new and original creations from Friday, October 16th to Sunday, October 18th. The event will be consisting of live recorded performances by 35 artists from more than 25 of the most storied independent concert venues across the United States. Get ready to experience an outstanding and memorable musical saga live from the comfort of your own home on NIVA’s Official YouTube channel. The performances of each artist will be aired simultaneously on their official YouTube channels as well. The live concert will end at 9:05 pm ET with a performance from different artists at Boulder Theater in Colorado.
The festival will start with Alec Benjamin’s performance on Friday, October 16 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET from Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. The show will go on with the performances of other popular artists like Macklemore at Neumos in Seattle and finally end with the mesmerizing performance of Dillon Francis. Saturday’s concert will end with Major Lazer and Sunday’s event will close with the performance by The Lumineers. Fans can expect to see performances from Foo Fighters and Marshmello with Demi Lovato from the Troubadour in Los Angeles, Dave Matthews from Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, G-Eazy from Independent in San Francisco, and many more. They also have a fundraiser NIVA Emergency Relief Fund where people can donate. The donations will go directly to help the independent venues that are at risk.
