The last disciple of legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar, who is taking Indian classical music to a whole new dimension with his work. The sitarist is now embarking on his journey to start the biggest classical music tour. He will start the tour in April and continue till May. During the tour, the sitarist and music producer is going to perform in multiple cities in India. This sitarist has become a sensation on the internet because of his excellent fusion. Rishab is a sitarist, music producer, and mental health advocate whose journey as a sitarist started long ago. He was introduced to a sitar by his father, Sanjay Rikhiram Sharma, who is also the luthier and the owner of Rikhi Ram, one of the finest instrument stores. His father was his very first guru, who taught him to play a sitar at the age of 10. After mastering his skill, he performed on the stage for the very first time in 2011 and only then caught the attention of Pandit Ravi Shankar. Since then, he has become a disciple of the legendary sitarist and enhanced his caliber. At the age of 17, he also pursued his learning by getting a dual degree in Music Production and Economics from City University New York. He has honed his skill for years and today offered classical music in a whole new avatar to all the listeners.

Rishab is all ready to start his 10-city tour, titled HSBC presents Sitar for Mental Health. This tour has been produced and presented District by Zomato and Team Innovation Cultural. While announcing the tour, Rikhi Ram said, ‘We are witnessing a fascinating cultural shift. Ancient ragas are resonating with contemporary listeners in profoundly new ways. Classical music isn’t just surviving in the digital age; it’s thriving. Young people are increasingly drawn to its emotional depth and resonance, recognising what is often absent in much of today’s music’. With this exceptional ideology, this sitarist is going to perform in several cities. He will perform in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh, and Kolkata. The schedule of his upcoming tour is as follows-

Pre-sale tickets for the tour have been given on the District by Zomato on the 14th of February at 4 pm for the HSBC Credit Card holders. After that, the General tickets went for sale on 16th February at 4 pm. Now, his fans are eagerly waiting to witness his performance live.
