This is not just a mere quote but a scientifically proven fact that human DNA molecules consist of ‘sound’ inside them. It is not just due to the musical happenings taking place outwardly but also the sounds and tunes that are being absorbed inside you. Researchers have gone through many case studies that offered fascinating outcomes of the influence of music in life.

For example, an experiment with 120 breast-feed mothers in Japan took place where the first group of mothers listened to symphonic music while the other group listened to pop and rock music in order to create a contrast. It showed that the second group significantly produced less milk than the first group. Not only humans but cows also increased their milk production by 20 percent in the influence of music. In the case of trees, Petunias bloomed two weeks earlier with a high growth rate.

In ancient India, science and art were considered to be parts of single imaginative power. The Holy Indian Scripture, ‘Veda’ is completely devoted to music. According to ancient studies of spirituality and natural energy, humans are known to have a total of seven chakras (energetic centers) and 3 channels. These are the elements that shape the psychological and physical activities of people. These seven chakras of the human body tend to revolve with a certain frequency that forms an octave including the 7 tones of correct elevation. It is said that the periods in between them will reflect intervals in between the chakras.

These ‘tones’ are also called musical ‘notes’, better known as ‘svars’ in Indian music. The seven Svars are sa, re, ga, ma, pa, da, ni. These notes remain and keep up with the chakras from the first to the seventh. Among all the notes, 5 notes can alter (fall and rise); offering 5 extra tones than the svars. Therefore, it can be said that soul and spirituality can be embraced through music that helps us stay in harmony.
