With The Beatles, a new era of rock music was introduced in 1960. With the best musical line-up that includes talented artists like John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, the legendary rock band became the most influential music group of all time. Their contribution to the world of music is so notable that when people talk in 2020 about the good old days of pop and rock, the songs of The Beatles pop up in the mind right away.
All Things Must Pass Revised With New Stereo Mix Of Album’s Title Track On Its 50th Anniversary
Exactly 50 years ago, George Harrison’s classic solo album, All Things Must Pass was released and received prodigious razzle-dazzle in over 50 countries. On its 50th anniversary, the George Harrison Estate gladly announced to drop a new 2020 stereo mix of the LP’s title song as a prelude of something special.
The new stereo mix (2020) of the formative title track from All Things Must Pass was supervised by multi-Grammy Award winner, Paul Hicks. He is known for his deep involvement with the Harrison Estate, The Beatles and not to mention his work with 2020’s chart-topping albums by The Rolling Stones (Goat’s Head Soup) and John Lennon (Gimme Some Truth).
The stereo mix of the seminal album’s title track is just a hint of more good things coming on the way in 2021. Dhani Harrison says, “The new stereo mix of the album’s title track is just a taste of more things to come in 2021 as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of my father’s legendary All Things Must Pass album.”
Adding more emphasis, he says, “We’ve been digging through mountains of tapes, and they just kept coming – boxes and boxes of them. Making this album sound clearer was always one of my dad’s greatest wishes and it was something we were working on together right up until he passed. But with the help of new technology and the work of Paul Hicks on this project, we are now able to make that happen. We can’t wait for you all to hear everything we’ve been working on and your patience will be rewarded next year.”
The original album was released on November 27, 1970. Phil Spector produced the triple LP that combined the first number one hit “My Sweet Lord” by George Harrison. The album became ostentatiously popular in both the UK and US, topping the charts in both countries. It was mentioned by Rolling Stone calling it “the War and Peace of rock and roll” and “an intensely personal statement and a grandiose gesture.”
The influence of the song has been running through generations after generations, growing the solo Beatles’ significance with time. It has been instated in the Grammy Hall Of Fame whereas Rolling Stone magazine introduced it as one of the Top 500 albums of all time. It took a separate spot in The Times of London’s 100 best albums.
The release of “All Things Must Pass (2020 Mix)” is the onset of celebrating the classic works of legendary artists and sing an ode to the history of music that has songs from George Harrison.

Late November of 2020 marked the unforgettable 50th anniversary of the vaunted solo performer of The Beatles, George’s indelible Album ‘All Things Must Pass’ in 1970. To respect his timeless art, 27th November was noted as the day of celebration for the records of The Beatles. On Black Friday, November 27th, Record Store Day was celebrated with an exclusive 7” Clear vinyl single that included a recreation of a rare Angola pressing of the 45 from 1970 with a distinct artwork. ‘My Sweet Lord’ was the first record that was lionized Harrison’s first solo act, though it was released in 1970. It was nationally the number one song on the UK charts, becoming the biggest-selling record in 1971. I was the first official number one song in America and Britain from the ex group member.
All Things Must Pass on BBC Radio
The Beatles released the triple album in November 1970, though they named it ‘the Quiet One’. Harrison’s album All Things Must Pass was particularly significant not because it took the number one spot in every region, but because of its exploring essence of Eastern religion overstuffing the songs with fascination.
Dwelling under the shadow of a musical revolution in the 1970s, Nitin Sawhney, the popular musician and composer kept himself abreast of George’s keen fascination with Indian classical music more than anything. His bonding with Ravi Shankar had highly influenced him into the different streams of music. Nitin Sawhney could explicitly draw a line between George’s previous songs and the famous album All Things Must Pass. One thing raised concern in his mind; whether the album was outdated within just a year or it was beyond any exploration because it was ahead of its time for jam-packed influences of a new culture and new religious aspects.
The year 2020 is special in a way for celebrating the solo member of the band, George Harrison’s biggest album on its 50th anniversary.
Paul McCartney’s third album McCARTNEY III is in the pipeline
It is the celebration month for Paul McCartney’s first solo album McCartney in1970. Paul released the self-titled album with his influential skills of playing every instrument used in this big record and writing every song balancing euphoria with creativity. His timeless prowess has grown prodigious over time, influencing the future artists of the coming years. McCartney doesn’t only stand for his enclosure as a solo artist, but also for leading the generation to the trend of indie and lo-fi musicality. The intricate waves of warm vibes and wonderment of classical tunes in the songs Maybe I’m Amazed, Every Night, and The Lovely Linda will be the milestone of rock music.
Later in 1970, Paul formed his own band Wings and since then he didn’t stop climbing the music charts and dishing out memorable stage performances. He gave the world some anticipated number one records and exceptional world tours. He churned out several multi-million-selling albums including Band on the Run, Venus, and Mars, Wings at the Speed of Sound, London Town, and the list goes on. !0 years later, Paul got his teeth into his second solo album McCartney II with the sheen of modern electronic tunes. This time, he tried to pull the whole arrangement up alone and recorded the album underlying classic cuts such as Coming Up, Temporary Secretary, and Waterfalls.
The next four decades witnessed an unprecedented legacy with Paul’s memorable strokes and his growing status in the industry. He paved his iconic success by recording the singles Tug of War, Flowers in the Dirt, Pipes of Peace, Flaming Pie, Memory Almost Full and New with countless live gigs all over the world. He set the highest record for having the largest audience at his concert.
It is still hard to believe that Paul’s Freshen Up tour at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles was the last live show before the pandemic struck a panic chord on the live music system. He is planning to dish out his third album McCARTNEY III in 2020. This self-produced work has marked a new beginning following up with the flow of 1970’s McCartney and 1980’s McCartney II.
