Professionally named Anne-Marie, Anne-Marie Nicholson is a famous British pop singer-songwriter who began her career in 2013 with a demonstration for Rocket Records titled ‘Summer Girl’. She soon caught the attention of Rudimental, and it was when one of their vocalists backed out, that Marie stepped up to replace her.
Anne-Marie quickly caught the attention of all and released her debut album ‘Speak Your Mind’ on 27th April 2018 that peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. So far, she has attained numerous charting singles on the UK Singles Chart and has been nominated for four awards at the 2019 Brit Awards that included the award for the Best British Female Solo Artist.
Born and raised in East Tilbury, Anne belongs to mixed ethnicity and is a black belt in Shotokan Karate. But due to her strict commitment towards music, she gets no time to practice the art form diligently. The English singer is also the winner of various Karate Championships.
During her growing-up years, Marie appeared in two productions of the West End theaters.
In 2015, she debuted as the lead artist with her song Karate and in the very same year, she dropped other singles like ‘Do It Right’, ‘Gemini’, and ‘Boy’. Her song ‘Do It Right’ reached 90 on the UK Singles Chart and was even certified as ‘Gold’ by the Australian Recording Industry Association.

In 2017 Nick Jonas featured Mike Posner and her in the making of his track ‘Remember I Told You’ and in 2018. The popular British singer collaborated with Marshmello on the rack ‘Friends’.
