The anticipation has increased with the news of the top five hip-hop and R&B legends performing at the halftime of Super Bowl 56. The event is taking place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood in California and the NFL fans are eagerly waiting for it. However, not only the sports lovers but also music lovers will be gathering there.
From the performers’ list, it has been announced that Super Bowl Halftime Show 2022 will be featured Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and R&B singer Mary J. Blige. These legends will the sharing the biggest stage ever and the excitement is already piquing among the audience.
Blige is the only singer from the list who performed before in 2001’s halftime show of the Super Bowl. The Weeknd’s 2021 halftime show in Tampa will be followed by this year’s Super Bowl 56.
Usually, every year there is a guest performer who appears in the middle of the show to surprise the audience, but this year could be different since there are already top 5 legendary artists. These legendary music artists have earned a total of 43 Grammy Awards. They also have 21 albums that took the place at Billboard No. 1.
The Super Bowl 56 will be starting from 6.30 pm which assures that the event at the half time will be initiation somewhere around 8 pm since the first half will be ending approximately 90 minutes after the game has started.
NFL’s official Twitter page is flooded with Super Bowl posts and the anticipation started quite earlier with the earliest tweet declaration. With the trailer being out, audiences have already predicted the intensity of halftime and looking forward to fully enjoying it this valentine’s week.
While many say that the performers who appear in NFL get paid well, the reality is different. It is true that NFL takes care of the performance costs and arrangements for the program. However, they do not pay the artists in person.
