Coachella Valley Music Festival is going to take place this year in April. Music eminences like Kanye West, Harry Styles, and Billie Eilish are conformingly in for the festival taking place between 15 to 17th April and 22 to 24the April in Indio of California.
Some other notable music personages are going to perform at the festival like Lil baby, Doja Cat, Megan thee Stallion, Ari Lennox, Phoebe Bridgers, and others. However, rapper Travis Scott is out of Coachella 2022 lineup due to the Astroworld Music festival controversy.
Travis was previously scheduled for Coachella 2022. However, he had to take his name out for the ongoing controversy of the Astroworld Festival as the mishap caused 10 deaths and hundreds of injuries.
The organizers of the festival told Travis Scott to remove his name from the list and paid him a cancellation fee, according to the report of a renowned newspaper.
Last August the Coachella co-founder Paul Tollet announced that Travis Scott and Rage Against the Machine would be on the lineup for the festival as these two had set to the headline in 2020 before the postponement due to Covid.
Due to the pandemic-stricken two years, Coachella was postponed and canceled multiple times. However, this year the makers are optimistic and want to make it bigger and grandeur.
The festival was originally scheduled for spring 2020. Due to Covid restrictions, it was postponed to October 2020 and later it was delayed to April 2021. Eventually, the makers had to cancel it keeping public welfare and safety in mind.
It was reported that Coachella and Stagecoach both would not require any proof of vaccination and it had allowed a negative Covid 19 test report within 72 hours of arrival on the spot. However, the policy goes against the previous one put by the festival’s parent company.
The festival organizers at Goldenvoice were reached out to ask if the safety measures can be revised in light of the massive spread of the new variant omicron.
Nonetheless, the joining of popular and eminent music figures makes people excited about the Coachella festival 2022. But, the spread of Omicron in the major parts of the world, and the looming threat of the arrival of any new variant, dwarfing to some extent the expectations of the organizers, and excitement of the people who have been waiting for this for more than two years
