One suspected gunman has died in the Mudbug Festival in Mississippi. The brutal open firing has injured and the festival has been called off immediately.
It is come known that an alleged gunman has been shot by law enforcement and five others have been injured at the Mudbug Festival in Mississippi.
The officials have said that about two or three people did open fire at the State Fairgrounds in Jackson.
The gunmen were about to do the crime at the festival ground. The County Sheriff has confirmed the news that a few people did exchange gunfire at 10 p.m. due to this incident the final day of the festival has been canceled. All the tickets have been refunded as the authorities have called off it.
The authorities have also said that they are investigating the reason behind this action. Due to this occurrence, a lot of visitors of that day have been transferred to the local hospital.
It’s very devastating and very tragic,’ said the County Sheriff.
He also added ‘This is what’s to be considered a very family-oriented event, where families come to enjoy entertainment and food. You have individuals with no regard for the lives and safety of those attending the event. I think that is a very cowardly and selfish act to involve so many innocent people that are here to have fun and enjoy themselves’.
The officials have found a car with two rifles and pistols near the ground. But they haven’t found any proof of the sudden shooting.
‘We will find out exactly what happened. We will find out who’s all involved and they should be held accountable and responsible for this very reckless incident’ stated the Sheriff.
There were a lot of brilliant musicians for the headliners of the show. Artists like Blue Oyster Cult and Laine Hardy were about to be a part of it on the final day. But for the current situation, no one will get the chance to perform.
Including this incident, this nation is facing shooting at entertainment events for the fifth time this year. A lot of innocents have lost their lives in the blazes.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is giving their all to find out responsible for the gunfire. They have said, ‘At this time, we do not know what the motive is or exactly what happened’.
They also added more and said ‘We will find out exactly what happened. We will find out who’s all involved, and they should be held accountable and responsible for this very reckless incident’.
