ABM’s Newest Track, ‘Child First Outlook’ Brings Awareness to Autism with an Upbeat Musicality

Promising young talent ABM has a special and intimate project, a new track entitled Child First Outlook’, part of his recent EP, ‘Finally Accepted’. This is the artist’s most personal and intimate project yet as it features his struggles growing up with autism and finally accepting it as a part of his life. The track carries a catchy tune and upbeat composition along with emotive and heartfelt lyrics that are ideally complemented by his soulful voice. We recently had an opportunity to sit for an interview with the artist. So let’s see how that went…

DMR: First of all, congratulations on the release of ‘Child First Outlook’. How are you feeling?

ABM: Thank you very much. I am definitely excited that I have finally gotten accepted into the music industry. It took me a while, but it was worth it.

DMR: The song has been gaining positive responses from all over the world. Did you think the response would be this overwhelming?

ABM: I was expecting the song to be a hit, but I didn’t think it would put that big of an impact.

DMR: You seem to explain your personal struggles and journey with autism in this track. Was it easy being this vulnerable?

ABM: It was not easy for me to be vulnerable. Writing the verse was easy, but rapping the verse really took its lane for me as an artist.

DMR: Do you feel there is still a stigma regarding autism, especially mental health in society?

ABM: I absolutely think there is still a stigma regarding autism. I think people need to be more aware of autism, and mental health crisis.

DMR: Did you intend to empower other people with autism with this track?

ABM: Absolutely. I think this will hopefully, if not, encourage other people with autism to follow under my footsteps.

DMR: Which artists served as an inspiration behind your music career?

ABM: I have my ‘Big 5’. 1. Pop Smoke 2. Post Malone 3. XXXTENTACION 4. Juice WRLD 5. T-Pain.

DMR: If you were not a musician, what would you be?

ABM: That’s definitely a tough one. I love to cook, so I think being a chef would be my second choice.

DMR: What are the genres that you want to explore in the future?

ABM: I definitely want to explore more R&B vibes and Pop.

DMR: Are there any artists that you want to collaborate with in your next project?

ABM: Man, there are so many people I want to work with. However, I 9. absolutely would love to work with Post Malone. His voice has been a heavy influence to my sound.

DMR: Now that you have come up with an extremely personal and intimate record, what do you think your next project would be about?

ABM: I already have my next few projects planned out. I have All Time Low Sides A and B coming out in late-April, but my debut album ‘Matty Boishka LP’ will be coming out on July 14. The debut album is about me. It’s about my rise to fame, and I only got one feature. The reason for that is because this is a very personal record. Only 12 tracks.

DMR: Do you have any special plans for your future?

ABM: Nothing in the near future, yet. There is more music to come, though. I’ve been on a grind.

DMR: Do you have anything to say to the people that are listening to your music?

ABM: For those that are listening to my music, keep listening to it. It is meant to numb people’s depression. You are not alone. I went through it, too.
