- When was the first time you felt like pursuing a career in the music industry?
When was the first time you felt like pursuing a career in the music industry? To be honest I’ve always known this was the Industry I wanted to be in. Ever since high school, I would spend almost all my free time making music and recording and just trying to figure out what sounds good. Always just dreaming about what it would be like to get paid full time to do something I love and I think that’s really when I decided this is what I was going to do!
- How do you prepare yourself before recording a track?
How do you prepare yourself before recording a track? Well, I feel like the best time to record a track is right after it’s written. For me personally that’s when I feel the fire and excitement the most. But sometimes if that’s not possible I find that I record the best when I’m sober and have not been smoking or drinking.
- Who is your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration is my family and my girlfriend and wanting to do good for them. Also, I get inspired off doing things people say I can’t do the doubters and haters are also a major source of inspiration for me, and also just wanting to be the best that I can be and leave a legacy on this world like hey I was here.
- If given a chance to choose, with which musician would you like to collaborate?
That’s a tough question haha if I ever got the chance I think it would behave to be between Post Malone, NF and Roddy Ricch. I feel like if I did a collab with any one of those three I would be mind blown!
- Is there anything you would like to change about your style of making music?
I wouldn’t say there is so much that I would change, but definitely just continue to learn and get better at both the writing and singing side and also the engineering side. I feel like the artists who are able to have massive success understand not just how to rap or sing but also the engineering process.
- Do you ever feel nervous or anxious during the making of a track?
I guess I get a little anxious just wanting to hear the final product but I think that just comes from being an artist. Now sometimes I do get a little nervous before a performance like I hope this goes well and I’m able to kill it but I feel like that’s normal as well and a lot of entertainers go through the same thing.
- What is your opinion about the current scenario of the music industry?
I don’t really have an opinion on the industry at this time. There are definitely some dope artists out there right now that I enjoy listening to, but just like any other industry, there are good guys and bad guys. I’m really just focused on getting my money and establishing my name at this time.
- What would you like to advise the upcoming musicians?
Well if I could give one piece of advice it’s become a self-starter and never stop learning. Also, stop allowing other people to dictate your life and become a student of the game and continue to self educate yourself until you put yourself on.
- What changes has this success brought in to your personal life?
I’m the type of person that I will celebrate my successes for a bit but then get right back to work. I never want to get comfortable. So my life at this point is still structured by goals, scheduling and ways to be most effective. But I still have so much to accomplish and don’t feel like my career has really even started yet I know I’m capable of so much more!
- What do you think is more important – artistic ability or commercial success?
I think like an Artist you want to have a balance of both. But the talent is something that if you want to be remembered as something bigger than just a wave or a gimmick you have to have.
- What is your ultimate goal?
My ultimate goal is to be able to support my family and lifestyle through my music. Also to create some timeless and classic songs that people will remember. I want to leave a legacy on this world and be the guy who is able to make it and then go back and help others!
