Daily Music Roll: Hi Faith, how did you come up with such an amazing concept at such an early age?
Faith Louise: To me, this is a mystery as well! I take a lot of my ideas from other people’s experiences and stories.
DMR: There’s a nice fusion of contemporary pop sound with youthful freedom, what inspired you to create music this way?
Faith Louise: I take a lot of inspiration from the artists I listen to. particularly the 90s era and upbeat songs that really shift you into a happy mood.
DMR: Since when have you been making music?
Faith Louise: Around about 4 years ago I entered a competition and while I was there was asked by a recording studio to join their artist development program. I went in to record a cover; 4 years later here we are with three originals out and many more to come.
DMR: What or who inspired you to sing and write music?
Faith Louise: I came from a very musical-based family so grew up on stage pretty much from a fetus haha. This definitely sparked a love for performing for people on a stage. I took part in various talent shows and competitions and really gained confidence as believe it or not I used to have awful stage fright. But also listening to the artist I do and thinking I could do the same thing if I put my mind to it, so took the leap of faith and started to create my own.
DMR: Did you always aspire to be a pop icon?
Faith Louise: From a very young age, I always told my parents I wanted to be a pop star. It varied from time to time from actress to teacher to really randomly a neurosurgeon, maybe one day haha. But when I started to write my own songs there was something different and I fell in love with the idea of doing this as a job and using this platform to make the world a better place.
DMR: How do you wish your fans to connect with your music?
Faith Louise: To find comfort and feel better about anything after listening to a song. I know personally when I’m feeling low or happy I listen to upbeat songs to put me in an even better mood.
DMR: Which would you say is your greatest passion and why?
Faith Louise: Performing 1000% when you find something you never get bored of and love doing it is truly an amazing feeling.
DMR: What’s your greatest ambition as a pop artist?
Faith Louise: To create my own music and experiment with different genres in the near future. I also want to use the platform I may gain to talk about important topics and change them.
DMR: What has been your greatest obstacle so far?
Faith Louise: Definitely, getting my original stuff out there and the opportunities I’ve been given as a result of this.
DMR: Would you like to share any special moments from your music journey?
Faith Louise: Definitely just being offered a recording contract with regent street records. Coming 2nd in the park dean resorts and of course winning factor Essex in 2019.
But every part is special to me.
DMR: What is your next project?
Faith Louise: BOSS my next original will be out on the 22nd March. and after will be working on more originals ready to be realized.
DMR: Is there anything you would like to say to your fans and listeners?
Faith Louise: Just a massive massive thank you. without all you guys I wouldn’t be where I am now and just that you keep supporting me and hope to continue to make you all proud.
