Which name would you like to promote your work in?
Low Aura
Describe the thematic and musical linearity of your soundscape.
My songs usually start out with either an off-beat sound effect, pre-recorded vocal sample or a chilling soundscape, minimal synth/piano. I then enter into an either lovable, warm storyline or just a straight to the point dark/romantic vulnerable atmosphere.
What are your new releases?
I just finished writing/producing my third self-recorded studio album called “Swim Eternity” which I have set to release February 13th, 2023 via Spotify, iTunes etc. There will be a pre-order on iTunes Novemebr 3rd, 2022 and I’m really, truly excited about this album.
Where do you hail from?
Santa Barbara, California
Are you associated with any record label or production house?
I self produce/record at my home studio.
How important are live gigs in the career of an artist?
Really important. I dream of playing great live gigs. I’ve just been putting in a lot of time and effort into finding my sound, comfortability with my gear (and loads of practice) first hand. I think it’s important for me as a musician to have great strong songs, merch, and to have or create a memorable artist image. I’ve spent the last 4 years building myself, my brand, my readiness and I’ve never felt in a place like I do now, where I’m so ready to get out there and show people who I am, what I’ve got and to just follow my dream.
What is the responsibility of the audience in the expansion of music and artists around the world?
The main responsibility is to simply just, listen or at least to have the willingness to actually listen. From there, what the audience decides to do is in their hands, for example, a like or save on Spotify or to add a song to a playlist can make for a good start.
Which old-school and new-school musicians inspire your work the most?
Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Radiohead, M83, James Blake, Jon Hopkins
Do you think the music industry will change its course post 2020?
Absolutely, the industry, music, art, people, just everything will and is continuously changing by the second. It’s just a matter of how much and artist wants success and to see their work grow. It’ll always be work and to see this blossom into something beautiful, it will take a lot of your time and energy to get the success you want to have.
What are your upcoming plans?
Promotion/marketing, networking, brand building.
