Well, donning all the musical elements with sheer brilliance and perfection, music artist John Blu has launched his latest single, ‘On Yo Best Friend’. Moreover, we got a chance to sit down and talk to the artist about his latest song.
DMR: Hello John Blu. Hope you are doing fine. Your newly launched track ‘On Yo Best Friend’ has been turning on the heat on every platform released. Tell us something about the composing style of the song that led to such a success?
John Blu: The composing style of “On Yo Best Friend” was very easy, I received the beat from my partner & then I aimed to create a super catchy trendy hook & verse that would have the ladies “turnt up” as soon as the beat drop. And, subconsciously start to twerk and dance on each other like they do most times I’ve seen.
DMR: What is the theme or subject matter behind your newly released number?
John Blu: The subject matter behind this record is basically twerking & for women to have fun dancing with there BF or BFF (Best friends) etc. I fondly named it “The Shakey Butts Anthem”. 🙂
DMR: You have produced so many songs over the decade. How do you distinguish the latest song from the others in your collection?
John Blu: Well this song is different from the rest because the sound of music has changed, the flow patterns/ deliveries are current & the subject matter is relevant to what actually goes on in the clubs, parties & events, etc..
DMR: What was your reaction when your song was loved and appreciated by thousands of fans across the world?
John Blu: I’m always honored yet humbled by the support that I receive. Definitely a great feeling, fasho.
DMR: You will be the perfect personality to answer how you see the R&B music industry changed in the last 10 years. Can you enlighten us with some facts related to it?
John Blu: Within the last 10 years the sound of music has changed, the way people market and promote music has changed. The platforms to which artists use to brand their self has changed. It definitely has grew digitally to another level.
DMR: Were there any obstructions or tough moments you faced while recording the song?
John Blu: Recording this song was quite easy to me. I was only torn on rather or not to keep it 1 verse or throw a feat on it & I decided to run with a feat so s/o to my guy BigBossDamo♨️
DMR: Which is the best part of the song in your opinion?
John Blu: The whole entire song is the best part in my opinion. 😜
DMR: What/Who inspires or motivates you to be at your optimal levels all the time?
John Blu: My team & my belief in myself motivates me to keep going & reach levels that only the mind usually dream about. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop! 🛑
DMR: How do you see today’s music industry than the one 10 years ago? What are the biggest advantages and disadvantages in today’s time?
John Blu: Now days artists don’t really need radio as much as before nor to be signed to a major record label in order to get exposure and make money. That to me would be the main 2 things that has changed within the last 10 years.
DMR: You are an experienced artist with a unique set of skills and talent. What will be your message to all the ones who are dreaming of reaching the status you are in?
John Blu: My message to people that’s inspiring to be at the levels that I have reached would be to keep going stay consistent keep great energy and support around you at all times and to know that sacrifice comes before success. Also study your craft-become a student at what you do and let your gift make room for you. FYI: There’s an audience for everything.
DMR: Are you currently working on any upcoming projects? Are there any more releases to come out this year?
John Blu: Yes I plan to drop multiple singles and visuals the rest of the year
