DMR. First, accept our congratulations on your latest release; it was truly fascinating to witness the charming musical styles you have offered in your songs. Please share a bit more about your latest release ‘Sapphire Kiss’.
JÁNEEL. Sapphire Kiss was just the distraction. Now the real fun can begin. The type of music everyone will look forward to
DMR. Which is most favorite release from this album?
JÁNEEL. I don’t know if I have a favorite release just yet. I really like the protection for The Albatross.
DMR. Can share more about how you started with this journey of music?
JÁNEEL. It was important for me to learn every thing ground up when it came to the foundation of my music career. I was so use to being great at so much, I knew this route was going to make me look awful in the beginning. Cements never been pretty but I’m standing on a strong foundation now.
DMR. Who or what has been your true inspiration to follow this path?
JÁNEEL. My haters and people who don’t believe in me. The people who use their energy to try and hold me back.
DMR. It has been a few months since you last dropped this album, are you working on some new project?
JÁNEEL. Right now, I’m upgrading myself. So I can attract more to write about and make new music.
DMR. Are there artists in particular you want to work with?
JÁNEEL. Who has Iggy Azealia #? There’s a beat that fell into my hands and my intuition has been wanting her
DMR. How do you feel when these many people vouch for the songs you have made?
JÁNEEL. I didn’t know anyone was vouching for my music… it’s felt pretty lonely.
DMR. It has been 11 years since you made your debut as a Seattle Rap Artist, what has been the sauce for your success?
JÁNEEL. I am not a Seattle Rap Artist. I am a Global Superstar.
DMR. Do you have anything in particular that has allowed you to make these incredible releases, it can be anything or a person also, and who has kept you motivated over these years?
JÁNEEL. Very dark moments and creativity.
DMR. Do you have any suggestions, especially for the emerging artists?
JÁNEEL. Writing comes first.
DMR. Can you share a fun or inspiring incident about your music career?
JÁNEEL. The person I looked up to in music stay stealing my lyrics and I’m wondering her intentions before I finally response. Listen to The Albatross, 3rd verse.
