Also, the majestic musicality of the track, ‘Trippin’, helped the artist take a lead as an Indie Artist Top number 1 video on 109.9.
Recently, our team got the chance of interacting with Lil Squid, where the artist shared some insights into his musical project and career.
First of all, congratulations to you on the tremendous success of the track, ‘Trippin’ as well as the EP; fans have showered the track with immense love and it seems that they just cannot get enough of it.
Q: How do you prepare yourself before recording a track?
I would like to perform with Lil uzi vert, and I would do a song with SahBabii and Lil uzi vert.
Q: Which veteran/contemporary artist has inspired you the most for music-making?
Lil baby.
Q: If given chance, with which contemporary artist/artists, would you like to collaborate with?
Lil baby
Yes of course! Just to appreciate the different vibes in the songs.
Q: Is there any aspect of music that you are still trying to improve?
Lil Squid also would like for the fans to appreciate the various songs in his Different Vibes album.. for example, Mom and, Letter to my fans are still popular too.
Q: What do you think about the modern-day music industry getting saturated, in terms of experimental and innovative musicianship?
He thinks that modern-day music is still good however, he is pressed to being better than before. It’s like growth. Growth is healthy and normal. No growth is a sign of developmental challenges.
Squid is expecting to walk among today’s greatest artists so that the world can have a full diverse experience of futuristic hip-hop today.
How he handles negativity? Not reading it, dismissing it. But he focuses on the positive instead
Q: What do you want the fans to take away from your soundtracks?
Squid is always happy to know that his fans enjoy his music. And he continues to give great services to the fans. That’s what the song letter to my fans is all about.. The fans.. his appreciation.
Q: What do you think about the future of the music industry with being exposed to digital music streaming platforms?
As far as the music industry is saturated with so many artists. It is what is. That’s what makes the music industry. Diversity. Squid believes in the good of all artists. That’s why he doesn’t hate on others.
