Listen to the musical diversity of various genre influences with group ENIAM’s debut digital single, ‘UP’ that is sending out waves of widespread audience engagement. The song, which was featured about a year ago features live music streams giving it a rock edge alongside the essence of other genres into a blissful and fulfilling musical diversity.
Daily Music Roll : As a music group, how do you incorporate individual ideas during the production of a song?
ENIAM : The way we create, share ideas, and incorporate said ideas into tracks during production starts with the familial bonds we all have formed first. We all have a mutual respect and some which we stand in and an understanding of where our own specific styles fit into the space we have created together. All of us have different talents and prowess yet we are all very multifaceted creatively so it is seemingly effortless to get in where we fit in on different tracks
Daily Music Roll : Although instrumental, how does a theme play out in your music?
ENIAM : Well, whether a track is instrumental or driven by lyrics our music is sown in the same soil. It starts with an emotion and/or vibe. Once that tone is set we weave through that emotion and the other feelings that inherently materials from the first. It’s a movement process winding and weaving through that emotion, feeling or vibe, situation or situations from which that original emotion releases.
Daily Music Roll : Your soundscape seems to be rock-based with other influences. Where do you see the future of rock in the times to come?
ENIAM : The future of all music seems to be the same future music has had forever. Evolution of music is affected by how many it can touch and how many musicians from different places genres etc are touched by it. In short rock like any other type of music will meld and mold and grow and continually incorporate parts of other styles to continue to grow until we call it something else.
Daily Music Roll : How important is digital marketing in the career of an artist?
ENIAM : Well, it’s tough to identify how important any type of marketing is within any career. Creativity, especially with music, I believe the most important thing is to make art that comes from an honest, true, space emotionally. Then of course being able to launch that into the world is huge and digital marketing is amazing for that. All that being said with out core support of localized true supporters organically grown it is hard for digital marketing to have the effect of a lasting supportive base.
Daily Music Roll : Do you feel the significance of live gigs in the exposure of an artist’s career?
ENIAM : We absolutely feel that live shows are integral for musicians period. For growth to convene with others and have a grasp on how your music affects people. Live shows can fill the soul so one can have the energy to dig deep and create more. Live shows are a give and take energetically between the artist and the crowd. Personally there will never be anything like seeing us live that will bring more exposure for what we do.
Daily Music Roll : Would you ever employ lyrical verses in your music?
ENIAM : We do employ lyrics in our songs most of them up to this point for the first album do have vocals. Thought through words are extremely important to us. So much so we have two vocalist who are avid writers.
Daily Music Roll : How do culture, society, and politics influence your soundscape?
ENIAM : Culture, society, politics, are all a part of life and so considering life I. All it’s oddities and truth are what we base our music out of these have huge influences on our music. Our music if anything is about bringing people together over the common threads that run through any human life. We are culture we are a part of this greater world society and we are alive and conscious of our lives so it’s unavoidable, inevitable how much culture society and politics are prevalent influencers in our music.
Daily Music Roll : Apart from musical accomplishment, do you envision other feats with your career?
ENIAM : Shit people get upset at my answer for this type of question but accomplishments goals in life and career for the lot of us starts and ends at being able to provide for our families and provide some love, peace, joy, rowdiness, catharsis, unadulterated fun, meditation, exchange of knowledge, and upward mobility to everyone we encounter. We been winning on that front all of us so jus being able to spread that more and touch people more connect people more would be it.
Daily Music Roll : Do you think inducing electronic modulations is an absolute must in ay new-age musical content?
ENIAM : We personally have always been on a wave of different odd and new sounds but much of that comes from old analog synths and little new and old toys. At the same time a lot of it comes from old world percussion, gongs, pianos, and guitars. I believe the only thing that’s a must in any music is doin you for what you see creating from within you not blocking inspiration but from a place of purity. You can put all the new age sounds you want in your music if it’s disingenuous or doesn’t matter. Bluegrass is huge singer songwriters are huge so know I think there is room for any type or style in the “new age”.
Daily Music Roll : You call your soundscape an alternative but many genres and styles influence your work. How do you accumulate so many different ideas into one?
ENIAM : We Only call our style alternative because we are forced within the confines of language and especially industry language to quantify what our style is. We use and stretch so many different ideas into one pack through honesty of feeling in the time. Openness of mind space for creation to never is there a we are going to write this type of song moment. We work and push each other into and out of different pockets. We trust each other so when one of us dashes in a little different spice we all add our little salt or enhancers on said layer of spice.
Daily Music Roll : Do you think every musician gets better with age and experience?
ENIAM : I do not think every musician gets better with age and experience. Although a question which calls for an extremely opinionated answer I could liken it to someone getting stuck in their ways while the world is progressing and being bitter about it. All of us are from different places different races different sexes different ages, I believe that keeps one in an open space to create learn and evolve.
Daily Music Roll : Where do you see the future of ENIAM?
ENIAM : Well, the future is happening now first album is mostly recorded and it’s honestly very different than we expected because we just did what came at the time kept it honest. I feel like for our next album which we are already writing for you will see more of our deep personalities and idiosyncrasies shine through. In the long future just more an more heat more consciousness. More spread of good more influence and thus more difference. Again hopefully affecting many more people and a much bigger movement of artist musicians craftspeople politicians people from all walks of life working and creating hopefully inspired in some small way by us as we are by others. In short UP in the clouds no plan on coming down.
