Q. What drew you to the music industry?
Nunu Asé : What drew me to the music industry was the creativity and passion delivered by different artists. I was intrigued by the way certain songs moved my spirit and influenced me emotionally.
Q. Who are you inspired by?
Nunu Asé : Since at a young age I was inspired by many artist.. It started off with artist like Fabolous, Rihanna and Beyoncé but the artist that made the biggest impact on me is Nicki Minaj.. It was then that I knew that being a rapper was my calling.
Q. Please explain your creative process behind ‘Move In Silence’?
Nunu Asé : “Move In Silence” was created after a journey I had after frequently going to LA. It was like a magical journey. I met a guy who I connected with emotionally for a brief moment. I was also artistically intuned & inspired by the Goddess of love Osun who impacted my voice and lyrics.
Q. What’s an average day like for you?
Nunu Asé : An average day for me writing many songs and coming up with creative visuals. I also spend predominantly most of my days speaking positive affirmations to create my reality. I wake up every morning thanking God for the day.
Q. Is there a hidden meaning in any of your music videos?
Nunu Asé : My music videos are always going to pertain to the song and the meaning is always within the music.
Q. Do you collaborate with others? What is that process?
Nunu Asé : I interact with my fans via social media on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook under the name NuNu Ase. I give them details about my music so that they can connect with me and I also notify them on upcoming events. I love to hear what my supporters/fans have to say and receive their feedback because they are a big cause of my successes. I want them to be able to relate to me and my music. I love my fans.

Nunu Asé : My video is currently in the making & my favorite parts will be discussed on a separate video.
Q. Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
Nunu Asé : I’ve never dealt with performance anxiety because I zone everything out and simply become one with the music.

Nunu Asé : I don’t have any current favorite venues.
Q. What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Nunu Asé : My advice for anyone who would like to follow in my footsteps is to start out with real love for music so that it will be genuine. Stay true to yourself and your creativity, don’t follow trends and realize every single day should consist of hard work. Never give up.

Nunu Asé : To my fellow artist, stay strong and continue to stay true to you. We’re all vulnerable people as artist and we should always put it into our work and do what makes you keep going (which is usually the music).
