ProphiSee

After ProphiSee dropped his debut solo, the world is going gaga over his musical styles and compelling lyricism. His musical sense in this number Shawty We Can is as charming as his voice. The extremely talented artist is surely going to be the next dominating face of this music industry.

DMR: Congratulations on your new release, it has been the most captivating music experience for us. Hopefully, you will continue to deliver more tracks packed with charming lyricism and compelling vibes to go along. Who has been your utmost favorite when it comes to music and especially the genre you are a part of?

ProphiSee: Lil Wayne hands down, he’s the reason why I got into music in the first place. Just his punchlines, versatility, style and attitude to rap on any beat is what makes him my GOAT.

DMR: The name ‘Shawty We Can’ is very quirky, and the use of slang is quite common in hip-hop. But what would be the inspiration behind the name of this track?

ProphiSee: The inspiration behind it is giving people a feel and taste of some of my last actions, I’m not saying I’m a saint, or even a Dog but I do have some playa ways to myself.

DMR: This is your debut number and your voice and your singing styles are quite seasoned for a newcomer. How long you have been making music and singing? Are there any groups or labels that you are a part of?

ProphiSee: Making music on and off for a couple of years, but seriously and consistently since the end of 2021. AllDaWayy100 Studio&Productions (ADW100) I can say they’re like family very involved in my craft and aren’t trying to change what I do they allow me to be me and if you’re an independent artist out there… being allow to do your craft with a support system who believes in their artist this indie label is the move. Oh, and you better remember the name. We going up real soon, too much talent around us for us to not make any progress.

DMR: Can you share the first memory you have of your music, it can be anything, your first time performing on stage or your first time realizing the aspirations and passion you have for music?

ProphiSee: First time performing in front of a loud crowd was different, crowd was vibing out and once it was my turn to perform, all my nerves left and I felt like I was at home.

DMR: Your name ProphiSee, is also very interesting. Is there any story behind that name?

ProphiSee: My real name, and the way my parents raised me and would always say I’m destined for greatness and I’m the author of my story, so it’s so much meaning behind my name and why I take it so serious and how I am going to edge my name to any canvass on any beat with my story to tell for every song.

DMR: How hard it is for any aspiring artists to break through that ice of lack of popularity? And in what way artists can survive that stage?

ProphiSee: Very hard, no support, lack of motivation on some days, wishing you already had the fame. It’s an everyday struggle, but you gotta find motivation to keep going and wait for your turn. You can survive by remembering why you’re here in the first place, knowing that can and will be you on that stage with those fans going crazy over you if you keep going.

DMR: Would like to test your skills in other genres as well or you would like to stick to your domain?

ProphiSee: I would say for now I want to stay where I am but I wouldn’t mind other genres maybe some R&B or soul.

DMR: What’s next? What are the musical plans for this year? Please share some glimpses of what you are going to drop next.

ProphiSee: My musical plans for this year is to keep dropping music, start working on an album but I do have a single I’m getting ready to drop in a little while, something I feel everybody needs to do. It’s called “stand your ground” all I can say is.. Tune in!

DMR: Have you mastered any musical instruments that will complement your music further?

ProphiSee: As of right now, no I have not. I plan on trying the piano, maybe some guitar whenever I have opportunities to learn and get acquainted with the instruments.

DMR: How does it feel to be popular at this young age?

ProphiSee: I’m not popular yet, and if I am it definitely does not feel like it. But I would say you start smelling yourself a lil, start doing stuff you wouldn’t normally do, start moving diff, wanting to keep and hold onto that popularity, so it’s difficult to really say one thing but it’s a numerous of feelings.

DMR: Is there anything that you would like to say to your fans?

ProphiSee: Keep staying with me, each song will get better and better and thank you for the fans I don’t acknowledge or know that are out there but listening in and following me. Let’s rock out, 2023 is gonna be a movie!
