Is there any reason that you got attracted to such a special genre as reggae gospel?

Honestly, it’s what I do best. I was a touring bass player back in the day and had the urge to pen music, but in every song, I played, I could hear the undercurrent of a reggae beat in the background. One thing led to another, and here we are today.

What was the initial drive that took you closer to music?

My father Davis Noel was the lead singer in a band called “Dave and The Nightingales” a great no-nonsense man who loved music. Naturally, like any son who wanted the attention of his father, I used Dad’s love of music to get his attention, and even when he did not like my songs, it would trigger conversation which was my hidden agenda. Because of this all of my siblings were thrust into music, and I grew up playing bass and singing backing vocals for the family gospel band named, “The Noel Family” this evolved into a group called “Revelation 22” and then the last group was called “K5”.

Amazingly I then heard from the Lord through the Holy Spirit, telling me to put together the evangelistic “Soul 100 Crusade” concerts and during these Events bring the life-changing word of God, Yes (The Gospel of Jesus Christ) to all attendees. We are now building a television channel aptly called “Soul 100 Television”. A lot of the programs have already been recorded, and we now have an emerging YouTube page called Soul100uk and this is the link to some of the programs like “Passover Protection” which was recorded for the pandemic season. We all need God’s protection at this time. We also have a Channel for women which are called “Rubies Red” by Siam Hurlock Noel https://youtu.be/CKgkL9JEU0A the program Flight V5780 is how to be prepared in this pandemic season. We use creativity because we are from the creative world and our Father in heaven is The Ultimate Creator.

Any special purpose for relating faith to your songs or it just happened naturally?

When you believe in something, it comes out of your every pore, and that is what happened to me. I am not without fault, but I believe every word in the bible to be true. I am an Evangelistic Preacher and while I still have breath in me, I preach by word, song, and deed the Gospel. This will be preached, Via Television, Concerts, Events, Churches, and Crusades. Besides, when I try normal things, I end up preaching, so I have been fully persuaded and there is no turning back.

Was the release of your track preplanned or coincidentally released during the period of worldwide lockdown?

Walking in my Blessing was initially released and made available in 2015. however, with the Pandemic, the words became even more relevant as we all need to walk according to God’s word, and this will result in a blessing, in this lifetime and when Jesus returns. So yes, it is a resurgence but also to share the Good News when it is so needed.

Anything that you want to change from the past regarding creativity because you regret it?

Learning to read music would have been useful, I remember being on stage with a famous musician and he placed 15-page sheet music, in front of me and said “you ok with this” I nodded sheepishly and winged it. In my heart, I was gutted, and what made it worse was that my elder brother is a music teacher. My creativity could have had the ability to read music in its resources.

Being a gospel singer in western nations, do you face any kind of opposition as far as creativity is concerned?

Ans: In everything, one does there will be nay Sayers. Matthew 12 vs 10 They asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” …. they were looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus. what’s even worse the day he raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus said in John 11: 43″ Lazarus cone forth….and then it said in verse 53 “Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death. (Give me a break man please) I take comfort in the fact that every time Jesus did good somebody had something terrible to say about it. As you can see, I can’t even answer your question without relating to the Gospel, so to concluded “ There will always be modern-day opposition.”

Does the genre of reggae gospel in general and UK gospel, in particular, heading towards the right path?

But as the example seen when Jesus turned water into wine, they said why did they not bring out the best wine first. One’s good, will always be seen as bad by somebody. One must ignore and complete the mission that God has given to every one of us

Does money matter to you or for that matter do you hold personal life at a high pedestal or creativity is more important than all these worldly matters?

Being real what I do takes money, I have worked none stop for the whole of my adult life all the Gospel concerts we did as Soul 100, we never ever charged a single attendee. So, it has been challenging but God’s grace has been plentiful, and sometimes he moves people’s hearts to help financially, and we sow it back into the ministry of reaching souls with the Good news of Jesus Christ. Lastly, I hope everyone reading this is impacted enough to check it out for themselves In Jesus name
