Prince Views

DMR: Hello, Prince Views, congratulations on the success of‘Butterflies and Goosebumps’. What do you want to say about the response?

Prince Views: i’m thankful; it’s been a humbling experience, riddled with many obstacles but those ended up serving as pillars for growth.

DMR: Would you like to share your journey about making this track?

Prince Views: Yes, the instrumental for this song was made on garageband, on an iPhone 7. And it’s not looped. My lower back and fingers were so painful that I swore to never solely produce an album again

DMR: How was your experience of creating this album?

Prince Views: By far, the most beautiful experience I’ve had with my poetry. Utterly challenging, but you can’t beat the joy of figuring out the little things that make the whole album amazing. The instrumental ideas; the engineering; the adjustments that make the final product. Exquisite.

DMR: What has inspired you to make this phenomenal poem?

Prince Views: Well, this track was inspired by a coffee date that I went on. Being in that moment mentally; nervously…with someone that I liked was what, a couple of hours after that date, moved me to write that poem

DMR: What has been your motivation for becoming a poet?

Prince Views: Survival; too much was happening and I just needed a way of processing things and so I impulsively started writing poems

DMR: What obstacles do you find while writing a poem?

Prince Views: It was meant to be completely a love poem; I couldn’t organically work that out at first. After writing the last stanza, I realised the poem had two themes and so I resolved to make that guitar instrumental on a piano for the last part.

DMR: How do you overcome your difficulties while writing a poem?

Prince Views: I like to believe that my poems write themselves. It’s now rare for me to experience writer’s block, but in the instance that I do, I realise I’m not fully paying attention to the poem so I just take a break and come back with exclusive devotion

DMR: Why did you choose the unconventional topics?

Prince Views: Odd to say, but I didn’t actually structure or plan out how I wanted the album to be. In the wise words of an American white guy: “Dude listen, just do it. Whatever comes out is what you’ll put out”. In my obedience, I allowed the topics to choose themselves.

DMR: Are you currently working on a new project?

Prince Views: Yes, I am. An album entitled “Biking in Walkerville”

DMR: Are you planning to try out something new for the next project?

Prince Views: Yes, I want to work with other sound engineers and producers. I don’t want to work alone anymore. I want to share the joy of creating art with someone

DMR: When your audiences will get the chance to listen to new poems?

Prince Views: Probably next year, when I am done and satisfied with promoting Sunrise.

DMR: Would you like to give any message to your listeners?

Prince Views: The stuff I wrote in Sunrise is completely real. I hope whoever may be going through what I went through to know that they are not alone in their pains.
