DMR: Hello, Sinewavesurfer. Your album ‘Pookie’ is set to release soon. What would you like to say about the album?
Sinewavesurfer:*Pookie* is a deeply personal album where I’ve bared my soul through the lyrics. I’ve chosen not to sugarcoat the emotions, keeping them raw and human, reflecting the messiness of life. To the listeners, I’d like to echo Einstein’s words: “The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.
DMR: How did you get the idea of making this album?
Sinewavesurfer: Life hit me hard with a series of challenges like illness, loss, betrayal, and financial struggles. Over the years, although I wasn’t releasing music, I was always creating—writing lyrics, recording snippets, and exploring new sounds. Albums are like puzzles; you need to find the pieces that fit. One day, I rediscovered a folder of sounds that sparked the creative flow, and *Pookie* began to take shape.
DMR: What has inspired you to come up with this album?
Sinewavesurfer: My inspirations are vast—ranging from books and movies to compelling storytelling in music and art. Sometimes, a single sound can be the catalyst for a whole track.
DMR: Would you like to say something about the concept of the album?
Sinewavesurfer: *Pookie* explores the narrative of two soulmates in a love story that’s both beautiful and tragic. It’s a cycle of love, loss, and rebirth, influenced by external pressures and the harsh realities of life. The album uses interludes and ‘Easter eggs’ like angel numbers to guide listeners through this multiversal journey of love. I pose the question: if we are multidimensional beings, can soulmates reconnect in other dimensions?

DMR: What is your expectation from this album?
Sinewavesurfer: I have no expectations. My intention was to express what needed to be said. This album is an adventure for both me and the listener.
DMR: You worked as a solo musician for this album. How was your journey?
Sinewavesurfer: I’ve essentially answered this in discussing the concept and ideas behind *Pookie*. It was an intensely personal journey.
DMR: Did you experience any trouble to create the album?
Sinewavesurfer: Yes, I battled writer’s block, imposter syndrome, and panic attacks. Self-medication helped manage these hurdles to keep the creative process flowing.
DMR: Are you willing to work on any new album soon?
Sinewavesurfer: I have some solo ideas and dark ambient sessions in mind, but I’ve got commitments with my collaborators at Orchestra Singularâ for a follow-up to our ‘Legacy’ cover album.
DMR: What is your plan after the release of this album?
Sinewavesurfer: There’s no set plan; I want to focus on promoting *Pookie* and then see where inspiration and journeys takes me.
DMR: Are you planning to be a part of any musical shows soon?
Sinewavesurfer: Apart from the collaboration I mentioned, no plans have been made.
DMR: Do you want to go on any tour in the coming days?
Sinewavesurfer: No, I prefer the comfort of my home and studio.
