Q: Which music genre gives you much comfort?
Ans: I like to sing a variety of genres but Glamour (love songs) is my favorite.
Q: Tell us something about your latest released music video.
Ans: There’s a strong reason why the female bum bum is designed so differently from male bum bum. In fact, females have “swity bum bum” and not just bum bumcuz it makes them look ‘swity’. This song titled “swity bum bum” elaborates more on this unique aspect of females. If you love your girl, examine and re-examine her bum bum and you will see the ‘swity’ in/on it.
Q: Who is the inspiration for your music career?
Ans: My dad is my inspiration. He was a guitarist and choirmaster and used to take me with him to teach choir in neighboring villages. My dad was the person who introduced a brand of local music called ‘bottle dance” to his village. He was the main guitarist of the bottle dance before he passed away. Before he passed away he gave me his guitar and also asked him to promise him that I will grow up to become a Medical Doctor and a Singer, which I have done.
Q: What are the main things that you prioritize while rapping?
Ans: I always want to make sure that I sing in more than one language so that I entertain a variety of people. Above all I want to make sure I keep it professional due to my nature of job as a physician.
Q: Tell us some of the renowned names with whom you will love to collaborate with in future.
Ans: Chris Brown, Rihanna, Akon, Davido, Mr. Leo, Chidinma, diamond platnumz, harmonize, yemialade, Stanley Enow, Kameni, AKA, Tiwa Savage.
Q: Lyricism or rhythmic blend – which field get priority in your music?
Ans: Rhythmic blend.
Q: Please mention the features that make a track truly powerful.
Ans: I focus mostly on beats; good beats attract audience. Then I sing about my life experiences in the lyrics.
Q: What are the main features that have made your track unique?
Ans: Good beats, decent voice, different tones of voices, and life experiences in the lyrics.
Q: Tell us about your career – the ups and downs that you have faced so far.
Ans: While growing up, I was interested in Medicine, Music, and Journalism. I wanted to be like Dr. SamjeKupta holds a career in Medicine but also a journalist. Accomplishing my life was super difficult growing up in Africa. When I relocated to the US, I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. I immediately began my journey in Medicine and while doing this, I was writing up my songs. Being a student, it was difficult affording the money for a music career. I wrote most of my songs in medical school during my leisure time. I was preparing for my career in Music once I graduate medical school because I will be able to afford recording songs and shooting music videos. I still find a lot of difficulties doing music while in residency but at same time music offers me a great life balance and also help decrease my stress in residency. But I wish I had more time to release a music video every month and to attend music seminars, concerts, and award ceremonies.
Q: Is there any upcoming project that you want to mention?
Ans: Yes! I am currently working on songs I will release in November and December of this year.
Q: Any particular tips for the upcoming rappers?
Ans: Yes! Music is life. Express the talent in you. I have tips particularly for medical residents. Residency can be super difficult and I will advise those interested in music to pick up music while in residency; it can help reduce the level of stress and off a great work balance if handled intelligently.
