TGYE, the rising rapper gears his career up with the massive hit song ‘InnerStellar’

Born in Wilson, the young artist TGYE, which is an abbreviation for ‘Thank God you’re Eternal’, has learned his lessons of music with diligence and passion before moving to different cities like Winston-Salem, Charlotte, and Raleigh for focusing in his dreams. He always had a hand in the music world. He remembers playing instruments and practicing singing since his childhood with fading flashes.  ‘InnerStellar’ is the new single out of the latest project Vibez in the P.M.

TGYE says that he has drawn inspiration for the new song InnerStellarfrom the work of some famous artists and upcoming rappers like #jcole #dababy #stunna4vegas #toosii #sauxepaxk #takaralee #tiacorine. Vibez in the P.M is a life-changing album for the hip hop artist that led him to discover the real energy that can make people happy and talk about his songs. The psychedelic bars and numbness in the colloquial verses have impressed the modern hustlers. Here is the brief of the interview taken for the newly released single.

Use three words to describe your music to your fans.

Timeless, Energy, and an Experience

Are you happy with the response from the fans for the album release?

I would say I’m humbled with the response for sure, and I’m highly thankful for the growth that I’ve come from up to now with not only my music but myself as well. It is definitely doing way better than I expected, but you know, that’s what God offers when you’re patient. It’s still going up, the journey is pasting.

You talked about inspirations who really gave you the unique idea to mold such an emotional song into a good vibe. Who are the artists that helped you to grow as an artist throughout the journey?

An artist by name P.M. He’s a dope creative as well. He produced the whole e.p, which is why I called it ‘Vibez in the P.M, it was night when we finished the project. Just me and bro recording, enjoying the vibes and finished the e.p in a couple of hours. With him, I see his talent for what it is, so I find inspiration in that. We’ve been talking about a collaboration for something like this beforehand, so I guess divine timing allowed the process to happen, I definitely had some stuff to get off my chest, that’s for sure.

Do you want to collaborate with any new artists?

To be honest, I would say it’s a good list, but I’m gonna allow that to flow, if it’s meant to be, so be it. If it’s not, that’s fine too. Right now I’m focused on constant growth for who I am as an artist, a creative, and so forth.

What is the theme of the much-talked album Vibez in the P.M?

Strictly vibes man. I hope people don’t expect like a spectacular album, this is just to sugarcoat the slightest bit of my abilities as an artist. What I represent with music, what I represent with myself is energy, so each song is just a form of energy. The best time to listen is in the night time, whether your driving or in your room, I mean wherever you just feel the vibes. Be in tune.

How did you find an interest in music?

I was raised around it, my father was a producer and rapper. I remember him having his studio set up in our house, over by Brentwood in Raleigh, NC, when I was a toddler. He embedded that into my head for sure. He always told us stories about when I was a baby, he’d have us around people like Ninth Wonder and Rhapsody, and this was before how it is now, like his college days. Even as a teenager I was brought around a lot of that behind the scenes. So it inspired me, ya know, in the back of mind head I’m telling myself I see myself in these areas, even better actually. But I didn’t take music seriously until like high school, when I met Apex 3400, that’s my bro, he had all the equipment and talent to boost me into taking it seriously. Anytime we work it’s always a hit, we work too well together.

What is your plan after the album?

As of now, my set plan is a few music videos for songs that have been released, and then getting into working on tape, and this tape will be more important. I’m taking more time on this one, and it will definitely be like no other. This one I’m writing out. It will be a great one for sure. I know it. I’m going to talk about a lot.

Whom do you want to thank most in your family for being the backbone of your career?

My father of course, just for having me around certain things that helped my mind into what I want to do as an artist. Then my mother for giving me the space to do these things, and learn for myself.

What message you have implanted in the song ‘InnerStellar’?

The message with ‘InnerStellar’, is me detailing the things I learned, some people don’t know this but I was homeless for a minute, so I’m the journey I learned what’s more important, me or what people think and say about me. Now it’s like that doesn’t matter if I’m not right. So I thank God I’m living, thank God I get to live life, thank God you’re eternal. Everything else will follow.

Why is it the most special track of the album for you?

For me, it’s because of the sound, and again “the vibe” I get from it. When I listen to it, I just think about where I was at mentally and how I felt, to me, it gives me that mysterious energy. I just want to hear it over and over.

TiaCorine, how her music made you feel when you started to rise as an independent artist?

Independence, Tia is a hella fire artist, she’s like an older sister to me, I’ve been behind the scenes on a lot, and seeing her growth from a moment in time is inspiring in itself. She sets a whole new standard for female artist overall, I respect that. Being in her own lane is mad dope. That’s important as an artist, with so much music going on now, it’s really about how you set yourself apart to actually last.

Has COVID-19 messed your recording schedules up?

My honest answer would be no because I have a phone to record on. I think people don’t realize how many resources they have to get the things they want, they want to rush the process. There isn’t any fun in that. If anything COVID-19 has just helped to grow and look at me more. It gives me the perspective to actually be who I am. This way I give a good tape, I expand my creative skills, my talents, my gifts.
