An actor, comedian, and recording artist, the rapper possesses a heavy degree of talent and has showcased that impactfully with his latest music video ‘The City(Different Energy)’. Keeping the focus on his smooth yet engaging hip-hop performance, the artist has thrown a meaningful question asking how many people look the other ways these days. Does humanity still prevail? The video shows a man suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest, seeing whom no one comes for help. His penetrating words and convincing flow make it a powerful creation.
Recently our team had the opportunity to talk about the artist’s creative process and his musical journey so far and here’s how it went.
Daily Music Roll: Having released your brand new video, how do you feel about it?
Tony Cobain : I feel satisfied with this project. The quality is great and the song is pure hip hop that you can nod your head to and it has a message.
Daily Music Roll: What drives you to create such meaningful productions?
Tony Cobain : Your art will be here long after you leave and I just want to be remembered for creating great content.
Daily Music Roll: What are your plans for making 2021 yet another milestone of your career?
Tony Cobain : I’m releasing my second album, Calculated Risk around June, looking to do some films and continue to deliver content that will strike an emotional chord with people.
Daily Music Roll: Do you ever worry about not giving your 100 percent, if yes, how do you deal with it?
Tony Cobain : All the time lol. Sometimes I think I won’t be able to deliver because the people have become use to my content. I deal with it by cutting out the noise and continuing to speak my truth.
Daily Music Roll: What are the main values that you try to incorporate in your hip-hop records? Honesty.
Tony Cobain : I always speak my truth and tell it how it is.
Daily Music Roll: What do you want your listeners to take away from your creations?
Tony Cobain : I want to motivate my listeners, inspire them, and make them think.
Daily Music Roll: How do you see your music differently from the others?
Tony Cobain : The difference is that it’s me saying the words and it’s my perspective. We all have our own truths that we need to speak, that’s what makes us all different.
Daily Music Roll: Who or what has been your main source of inspiration?
Tony Cobain : The everyday people. People inspire me to do great things. I like to tell stories of those who can’t have their stories told.
Daily Music Roll: Do you ever feel like experimenting with other genres?
Tony Cobain : Of course, I would like to venture into Rock and Spanish music(specifically Bachata and Reggaeton)
Daily Music Roll: Have the events of 2020 drawn any impact on your creative aspect?
Tony Cobain : Yes, it really made me dig deeper into myself and look around and to not take anything for granted.
Daily Music Roll: What’s something that most people do not know about you?
Tony Cobain : I speak Spanish.

Tony Cobain : I love you all, to the fans and fellow musicians, keep being great and stay safe.
