The prolific rapper, Tookie has etched outsmart rap vocals in his recently released music single. He has spellbound the fans with a smart rap verse in the music single ‘In My AirForce (Beatbox Remix)’. We spoke to the rapper for an interview and he quickly responded with a positive gesture. We wished the rapper the best of luck for his present and upcoming endeavors. He was in between shots for one of his recent music video shoots. But, he gave his precious time and we were overwhelmed by his gentleness. Here are a few excerpts from the very exciting interview.
1. Were you impressed by any hip-hop icon while you were growing up as a child?
Ans: As a child, I was always impressed by numerous of rappers but Wayne and chief keef is the most impressive.
2. What prompted you to take the initial drive and plunge into the rap music scene?
Ans: I started off playing around with two phones and a tv lol I was trash. But then eventually I started getting right with it.
3. Are you happy with the response you received for your latest music video?
Ans: Ofc I be happy for 100.
4. Which aspect of hip hop genre excites you the most and draws your attention?
Ans: It got to be a trap and the gangster music because that’s where a lot of real bars and wordplay can be used but the melodic side is one that I fell in love with to I can release a lot.
5. Are you happy with the way things have unfolded in your career to date?
Ans: It still early and a lot more to come but I still got some eyes that’s closing on me.
6. Did you achieve everything that you set out for at the start of your career?
Ans: Not yet.
7. Whom do you reckon as the all-time best rapper and how you are influenced by him?
Ans: I can say there is an all-time best when there is olenty more to come but for my generation and my own eyes it’s Lil baby fashion but I ain’t too far from him.
8. Do you take a sly dig at your contemporaries when you are upset or do you refrain from such things?
Ans: I let nun get to me. I put my aggression in the booth
9. Which is the best place in the world for you when you want to relax after months of toil?
Ans: The booth and A BWood lol.
10. Are you bothered by professional hazards like constant adulation of fans and media attention?
Ans: Nahh I see a lot of criticism lately but that’s ok it must mean some.
11. Do you take criticism with a pinch of salt and move on or you think otherwise?
Ans: Lol a lot of time it is funny asf but I’m open to everyone’s opinions. Some hate it some love it.
12. Are you driven by goals or you have a more chilled-out approach?
Ans: I got goals, a lot of goals it just start with me to achieve them. 2021 I’m making IMPACT NOKAPP!!!
