Hailing from Illinois, talented rapper Young Glory has come up with his latest banger, titled ‘Mistreated’. The track provides some poignant lyricism along with the artist’s eclectic rap deliverance. This musical treat by the young hustler is winning the hearts of listeners around the world. Previously, the artist has garnered a lot of attention with his singles namely, ‘Smack down’, ‘In Danger’, ‘Grinding Hard’, etc. We thank the artist for sharing a few words with us.
Q. Congratulations on your latest release ‘Mistreated’. What are your feelings regarding this track?
Ans: I feel as if like everyone around me don’t love me for me they love what I do for them. Everyone’s always relying on me for something, always expecting me to do this & do that always asking me something. Whenever they don’t need anything from me they don’t pay attention to me at all, so I figured I make a song about how I feel.
Q. We heard you used to rap since you were only 10 years old! How did your knack for hip-hop music develop?
Ans: I sort of just decided to put myself out there I know I have the potential to make to the next level I just gotta work a lil harder.
Q. Who inspired you the most to pursue your passion for music?
Ans: I listen to a lot of NBA Youngboy his music inspires me a lot he’s really different, and the way he carries himself reminds me a lot of myself.
Q. What are your views on the modern hip hop industry?
Ans: I think the modern hip hop is a messed up place I wouldn’t lie though. I don’t know how the old hip hop industry was so I can’t really say the old hip hop was better, but the hip hop we’re in now there’s some good in it, but however it’s been dominated by bunch wrong people doing wrong stuff.
Q. How do you like to write your songs? Do you incorporate rap first or music?
Ans: I have beats saved up in my phone. I listen to a beat feel the vibe then I just go about how I feel. I’m not able to actually write down a song it’s hard for me to do. I just listen the beat, and say how I feel.
Q. Do you think the authentic street essence of urban hip hop is fading for commercial music scenes?
Ans: Yes & No
Q. Do you think hip hop or music as a whole; can bring change to society?
Ans: hip hop is definitely changing the society
Q. As a well-seasoned rapper, what tips would you like to give to the rising rappers in the industry?
Ans: stay real, work hard, stay consistent, watch who surround yourself with.
Q. How did the Global Pandemic affect your musical journey?
Ans: pandemic has affected my journey hard. I wasn’t able to go in the studio for a little while I was suppose to have a Tv interview it all got canceled so it definitely has affected me bad, because I’m trying to come up and with this pandemic there’s limited stuff I gotta do so it’s pushing me back.
Q. Would you like to shed some light on your upcoming projects?
Ans: yes I’ve been working on my first Album 💿 the release date isn’t confirmed yet but I am working on the Album.
Q. Would you like to collaborate with other artists in the future?
Ans: Yes
Q. Is there anything that you want your listeners to know?
Ans: your support means more than you think without y’all I couldn’t have made it I love y’all
