A fan of AR Rahman stops his car, performs to ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’

Oscar-winning music producer AR Rahman was in for a glad surprise when a fan stopped his car in Dubai and showed her performance singing a song for him. In the shared video by the living legend, a French Indonesian fan named Celinedee Matahari asked him if she was allowed to sing a song for him.

However, Celinedee then continues to perform a gorgeous rendition of his iconic soundtrack ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’. The majestic composer can be seen capturing the precious moment. The fan also posted this on her Instagram account, writing, “It was such an honor finally meeting the legend @arrahman thank you for letting me sing for you.” The artist also posted the video on his Instagram account.

A paparazzo shared the video on his Instagram page, welcoming all the music enthusiasts to react to the gorgeous performance. An Instagram user commented, “She sang so nicely…India sab ki jaan hai (India is everyone’s life).” Another one said, “The way he looks at the instrument.” Moreover, another one wrote, “What an amazing performance.”

In addition to that, another fan wrote, “Lovely, what a voice,” Several also called it a ‘sweet’ gesture to show.

Previously, the music maestro attended the United Arab Emirates’ 52nd National Day celebrations in Abu Dhabi and revealed a ‘song of hope’. A 52-member Firdaus Orchestra he paid a special honor to the founding Father of UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan AI Nahyan, at a hospital in Abu Dhabi.

The music expert’s latest creation ‘Suro Suro‘ featuring Rakul Preet Singh and Sivakarthikeyan, the Tamil film Ayalaan was launched last week. Rahman will also be sharing musicals for Ram Charan’s next, probably titled ‘RC16’. He has also produced music for Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh’s film, ‘Chamkila’.

Moreover, the music director AR Rahman shared about entering a tangled space of depression and suffering harmful thoughts during his growing up. The artist said it was his mother who had helped him to overcome thoughts of death and stated that her advice helped him in many ways in later years.

The prolific composer discussed with the students at an event which was organized by the Oxford Union Debating Society, said, “My mother told me we would not get such thoughts if I lived for others. That is one of the most beautiful advice my mother gave me. I took that seriously. I realised that living for others keeps you going,”, the singer had a close relationship with his mother.

He further added that he followed the same suggestion when composing songs. He added, “Things like composing music for others, writing for someone, buying food for those who can’t afford to do so, keeps people going”
