A$ASP Rocky Officially Confirms Starring In Spike Lee’s New Movie

The idol of ‘Munchkins’ and extremely talented rapper Ice Spice, started the year with a blast when she released her new song ‘Think U The Shit (Fart)’ in January when it became the first Top 40 hit in America with ‘Fart’ in the title. In April it was revealed that the viral rapper is getting ready to make her acting debut. According to a very reputable magazine, it has been officially confirmed A$AP Rocky will also be starring in Lee’s upcoming new movie ‘Highest 2 Lowest’.

 It has been confirmed that Ice Spice has already begun shooting. The Apple Original film is set for a theatrical grand release with a subsequent streaming release on Apple TV+. The movie ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ marks the fifth collaboration with the ‘Gladiator’ director Spike Lee, and A$AP Rocky plays the role of Yung Felon which is said to be the ‘main role’ in the movie. Lee explains the duality that he is going to reinterpret the iconic Kurosawa original ‘High and Low’ where an ordinary cobbler gets into an extremely emotional and dramatic situation where his chauffeur’s son is mistakenly kidnapped and is held for ransom.

The reimagined ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ will feature Denzel Washington opposite A$AP Rocky playing one of the main characters as a ‘music mogul with his own label and his reputation as the best ears in the business.’ Everyone knows whenever Lee’s movie comes out, they are up for something! Spike Lee has been making movies for more than 30 years now, racking up some two dozen feature credits leading up to the release of ‘BlackKKlansman’ this weekend. Back in the days, he was known as ‘the black Jim Jarmusch’- a promising up-and-comer named Slike Lee. The description was intriguing but the film itself, ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ was what really made people notice.
