Renowned singer, Abhijeet Bhattacharya has recently created a controversy with his statement. He has been surrounded by many controversies, but his latest statement has taken the internet by storm. Recently, the artist called Mahatma Gandhi the ‘Father of Pakistan’. And this has generated controversy among all. After making such a statement, the artist understood the seriousness of the situation and tried to make a shift.

He said Mahatma Gandhi was responsible for the existence of Pakistan and that is why he is willing to give that title. However, this made no impact on the people. From a press journal, it came to know that ‘Music composer RD Burman was bigger than Mahatma Gandhi. Like Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation, RD Burman was the father of the nation in the world of music’.

The artist even said ‘Mahatma Gandhi was the father of the nation for Pakistan and not India. India already existed, Pakistan was carved out of India later. Gandhi has been mistakenly called the father of the nation for India. He was the one responsible for the existence of Pakistan’.

By saying such things publicly, a Pune-based lawyer, AsimSarode sent a legal notice to the artist. In the legal notice, Bhattacharya is asked to apologize for such a comment. The lawyer also said, he needs to give a written apology otherwise there would be a criminal prosecution against him.

The legal notice said ‘To accept partition, it will be over my dead body. So long as I am alive, I will never agree to the partition of India’. It also says how Mahatma Gandhi has worked tirelessly for the country. He even worked hard to maintain the unity of Hindus and Muslims. Mahatma Gandhi promoted brotherhood through his work. So, saying such things against him is not acceptable. That is why, the lawyer has sent the legal notice to the artist and asked him to apologize right away.

Apart from this controversial comment, Abhijeet has been in the headlines for some time due to his opinion on Dua Lipa’s Mumbai concert. Dua came to Mumbai in November for her performance. During this time, she performed on the famous remix of Levitating x WohLadki Jo. ‘WohLadki Jo’ was originally sung by him and Dua didn’t give any credit during her performance. And that has offended the artist.
