Aespa is the first K-pop group to attend the prestigious Cannes film festival and they sure did it right! The girl group once again captured the attention of fashion critics and social media when they appeared in all-black at the eminent Chopard Art Gala held in Cannes, France. The four members were elegantly garbed in black, making it one of the notable appearances on the distinguished red carpet. Easpa members Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning each wore something that represented their own unique style while they seamlessly combined classic and contemporary fashion themes. Their commendable appearance grabbed a lot of attention on social media platforms and at the same time reminded the world they are one of the most prominent faces in the K-pop industry.

aespa’s agency SM Entertainment confirmed on April 27th, “aespa will be attending the Cannes Film Festival.” The girl K-pop group attended the festival’s red carpet as global ambassadors of the luxury Swiss jewelry brand Chopard. Chopard has been the official sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival ever since 1997. This makes aespa the first ever Korean pop stars to officially attend the festival as a group.
The 2023 Cannes Film Festival, which started on May 16th will go on till May 27th. This was an excellent opportunity for the aespa members to mark their position in the industry by making a glamorous appearance. The girl group dropped their pre-release track “Welcome to MY World” on May 2nd and released their latest, third mini album, entitled “MY WORLD” on May 8th.
the category is visual and the aespa girls always come in first place!
