On the 25th of September 2023, the 6 God fired several shots at the radio host of Power 105.1 on Instagram. And this was the beginning of this new chapter called, the Never-ending Feud Of Drake and Charlamagne Tha God. Drake’s verbal jabs originated due to a clip that has been circulating throughout the weekend. The clip was about Charlamagne’s thoughts on Drizzy’s latest release ‘Slime You Out’ featuring SZA. Charlamagne held no pinches to himself and he vocalized about ‘Brilliant Idiots’ and also claimed “nobody cared” about the collaboration between Drake and SZA.

Charlamagne said, “What scares me — and it’s not a scare because Drake’s gonna be fine — Drake put out a song last Friday and … nobody cared. The Drake and SZA record.” He doubled up his perspective and said more about the lyrics of the song, “It came out last Friday, and people just started talking about the lyrics yesterday. ‘Cause I saw people posting about how he said something about, ‘Whipped and chained you like [American] slave,” he said.

Drake, being completely vexed by Charlamagne took a shot in his direction using Instagram stories once again. Drake started by saying, “Are you okay Lenard?? You kinda weirding me out g. Like you really obsessed with me or something for years like you look in the mirror and wish you saw my reflection type s–t.” later on, he attacks Charlamagne further by calling him “off-brand Morris Chestnut” and a “f—ing goof.” He also added, “Whatever you gotta do to let it out I’m sure your 435 loyal fans will stand by you ya f—ing goof.”

To Drake’s stories on Instagram, Charlamagne responded sarcastically on The Breakfast Club Monday morning when he punned about the rapper’s attacks. He responded that there is nothing strategic about this and both the parties are a roll-out of this album release. Charlamagne says, “Back in the day, I can say I was hating on Drake for fun.” “It was hilarious, at least to me,” he added. Everything started over a decade ago, and still, the bitterness of their bad blood prevails in their relationship. Their strong feud includes lyrical barbs sent by OVO commanders on 2018’s “Sandra’s Rose”, and this was a response to various made by the popular Black Effect Podcast creator. Their dispute also sharpened last year when Charlamagne dubbed Honestly, Nevermind “elevator music” on last year’s Haymaker.
