Highly anticipated and eagerly awaited by the fans, Anne-Marie’s latest album ‘Therapy’ has released on 23rd July. There are 12 invigorating pop tracks in the album that truly works as a therapy and process to empowering own self.
The artist has also revealed that she had to bury an entire album project in 2019 to proceed with her second album ‘Therapy’. Previously, she released ‘Speak Your Mind (Deluxe)’ in 2018 which was a certified platinum hit.
The singer told the Music Week that the project she scrapped was “some really weird s**t”. However, ‘Therapy’ is proving to be another milestone of her career with the singles like, ‘x2’, ‘Don’t Play’, ‘Kiss My (Uh Oh)’, ‘Who I Am’, ‘Our Song’, ‘Way Too Long’, etc to name some.
The artist is also currently the coach in The Voice UK. She told the publication, “Straight after the first album was released, I started writing for the next one.”
She also added, “I was very angry about an ex, which is not so bad, but it is when you say it in a really bad way. I was really excited about all this music. That was in 2019.”
She is a singer but also a parent which made her work on her narratives. The artist said, “I couldn’t deal with this little girl listening to all this angry music I’d been making.”
She further added, “My role and who I want to be is someone who lifts people up and makes people feel good.” Her contributions as a role model reflect through the empowering tracks of this album.
Stirring the deeper emotions, the artist said, “I think wanting to go so far left to what I’d done before was a defence mechanism and not wanting to fail.” She concluded, “But the more I wrote, the more I realised that I just love pop music and that’s who I am.”
The latest album is already proving to be one of the best with ‘Don’t Play’ and ‘Our Song’ featuring in Top 10 singles in the UK.
Anne-Marie has worked with KSI, Digital Farm Animals, Little Mix, Niall Horan, Nathan Dawe, and MoStack to create this amazing album. Her collaboration with Rudimental for the track ‘Unlovable’ proves to be quite energizing as well.
The artist has a passion for upbeat pop grooves, repetitive chorus, and intriguing subject matter which are represented well with her improvised vocal skills, filled with melody and grind. ‘Therapy’ is recommended for everyone to gain musical healing.
