Ariana Grande continues to show the slow tease of the upcoming deluxe edition of Positions on Wednesday, February 17 when the iconic singer posted brief clips of the four new songs. The songs are all set to appear on the expanded edition of her most recent studio album.
As it has been shown on the brief snippets, the twenty-track effort is due out on Friday, February 19, and will add some more bounce to the project on songs like Worst Behavior that glides along on a finger-snap beat. The lyrics of the song such as I forgot to mention I’ll be there in (audible)/ We don’t need to talk too much, show each other what we know.
The track Main Thing has a slinkier kind of vibe with a subtle wash of keyboards and Grande can be spotted whisper singing When I call you (call you)/ You never keep me waiting (waiting)/ I be trippin, I adore you, I adore you. However, things take a different rather cranked upturn on the sprawling Test Drive which has quite a quick upbeat set up and the auto-erotic come-on Pull up, pull up for me. I just recline the seta when I want it/ Give you a set of keys cuz you on it.
Lastly, the peek at the fourth track, Someone Like U (interlude) features a fun, chilled-out, jazzy instrumental arrangement with swelling horns that rises towards the end of the seventeen-second sample.
It is heard that Grande has scratched out the names of the new records when she had first announced the expanded album much before revealing the titles sometime earlier this week.
