As the cold season of winter is coming to a close, the sun in the sky has started to stay for a bit longer. For Ariana Grande, however, Sunshine is Eternal! In anticipation of her seventh studio album ‘Eternal Sunshine‘, out on all platforms on March 8th, the singer took to Instagram to share a teaser of her upcoming album. The promotional clip was shared to all her social media accounts and caught her posing in the glam outfit she wears on the cover of her forthcoming LP. A distorted snippet of an unreleased and unidentified song plays in the background fans theorize that it could be the tease of the album’s next radio single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”. The video also captures the Grammy-winner relaxing in a Maison Margiela ensemble, wearing a cotton white bodysuit. She paired her costume with a signature bold red lip along with a pair of red tulle gloves. For the hair, she was seen wearing a Sweetener-esque low blonde ponytail. She posted the video on Instagram with the caption, “。˚❀*·ꕤ tomorrow night .゚*ꕤ”.
‘Eternal Sunshine’ marks Grande’s seventh studio album and her first LP since 2020’s ‘Positions’. This release also marks the longest gap between Grande’s full-length releases. Since ‘Positions’ debuted at the Billboard 200 with the title track debuting at the Billboard Hot 100, Ariana has been working hard. Although she took a little break from music, she continued filming for the film Wicked. This is a two-part movie musical based on the hit Broadway show of the same name. As a Broadway child, Grande was visibly happy to be selected to play this part, claiming it was like her dream come true. Releasing on 27 November 2024, the movie will be directed by Jon M. Chu where Grande is set to appear as the good witch for the role of Glinda alongside Cynthia Erivo’sElphaba. The movie also stars Jonathan Bailey in the role of Fiyero Tigelaar, and Ethan Slater as Boq.

While Ariana might have been focusing on filming and working hard in Oz, she completely did not ghost music or the charts. In the following years of her last studio album ‘Positions’, Grande appeared at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with fellow singer-rapper The Weeknd in 2021’s “Save Your Tears” and 2023’s “Die for You“. Grande kicked off this new era with the album’s lead single ‘Yes, And?’ which also debuted at the top of Billboard Hot 100, becoming the singer’s sixth one to do so.
