Ariana Grande The ‘Best Singer Of Our Generation’: ‘I Don’t Say That Lightly’ Says Katy Perry

Katy Perry praises Ariana Grande’s stellar skills and charming vocal range. The former ‘American Idol’ judge recalled paying the ‘Bang Bang’ singer a compliment a few years ago and once again Perry has shared her love for Ariana Grande, she was recently a apart of speaking to EXTRA about the season 22 winner Abi Carter as well.

The 39-year-old Perry started, “I think she was authentic, I think she was humble, I think she was singing with an angelic frequency,” about Carter and her success throughout the season. She also added, “The way that she sang from the heart and the cry and the crackle, it was just like, whoa. This is a whole ‘nother voice.”

“The voice is unlike anything I’ve heard in pop music,” the ‘Dark Horse’ singer added, “The last time I said that I said that about Ariana Grande when she went on The Ellen [DeGeneres] Show. I was like, ‘Oh this girl is the best singer of our generation.’ So, I don’t say that lightly.” Earlier this season she said in an interview, “I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show.” Then she added, “I was convinced at anything he said.” She concluded, “Plus Jelly on the show would be amazing. I love you, Jelly!”

The ‘Everyday’ singer became a part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show several times and has bagged 2 Grammies by far. In her recent release ‘Eternal Sunshine’, she has shown some exquisite potential as a music artist. Her chart-topping single ‘Yes, and?’ has already spent a fair amount of time on top of various Billboard charts. The number also has been named as the ‘Most-Streamed’ Spotify release of 2024.

Recently in a TikTok video the Side to Side star celebrated one month anniversary of this number and the release of her latest album by saying  “thank you for your love,” on witnessing the love and appreciation she has received for the release of her 7th Studio album. She also said that this is her new album’s era, she again teased, “I cannot wait for everything that has yet to come within this eternal sunshine cycle (that has only just begun & may it never end).”
