A lot is evolving and changing in the world of technology and music streaming platforms. From foldable phones to the 5G phone era, there have been a lot of new editions in the technological field. Along with that a lot of new addition has been seen to the music streaming platform. Spotify and YouTube music is making their way to India. These two platforms are boon to music enthusiasts. These have broadened the arrear of music streaming.
Recently YouTube has announced their annual subscription plan for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium. Before that, it had monthly plans and quarter plans. This new one-time payment has been introduced to India along with many other countries.
YouTube competes with other music streaming platforms too. Other streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon music have offered a lot of ways of subscribing to their service.
YouTube Music Premium has introduced its yearly package at Rs. 1188 and the monthly package at Rs. 99 only. Here is a benefit available of the family plan, where the monthly cost is Rs. 149 and yearly Rs. 1788. In the family plan service, one can add up to six family members. YouTube is the modified version of Google Play Music, so all the existing subscriber of it can upgrade their plan and enjoy the YouTube Music Premium.
Spotify Premium on the other hand offers much more affordable packages, like Rs. 129 per month, Rs. 389 for three months, Rs. 719 for six months, and Rs. 1189 for a whole year. They even offer daily and weekly packages, which is Rs. 7 and Rs. 25 respectively. So this is more approachable for the audience.
Like these Apple Music has its packages, which is Rs. 99 per month, but they don’t have a yearly package in India right now. There is a Siri voice package that comes at the price of Rs. 49. There is another family subscription that is available at Rs. 195 which can be accessible in Apple Music, Apple TV+ and a lot. These applications are user friendly for iPhone users. But it still leaves a place for debate that, does it have wider collection than YouTube Music? Apparently, that cannot be answered as both platforms have a vast collection of music.
Staying in the competition Amazon Music has also offered their Prime service through Prime Music. Not only Prime Music but Prime Video and Amazon’s Library too. All these come in a monthly package of Rs. 129 and yearly Rs. 1548.
Every service provider has its own kind of offers and prices. With every platform, the users get different kinds of services and benefits. It is very difficult to compare them as they have a whole lot of variance in their own way. But looking at the aspect of Amazon’s service in India it is much more affordable and wholesome. They offer not only music but a lot more. So it is the cheapest one right now in the market.
