Billie Eilish Shared the Song She Made about Olivia Rodrigo

Recently, Billie Eilish, the 21-year-old singer talked about her song about Olivia Rodrigo in her last album. Billie dropped her last album named ‘Happier Than Ever’ in July 2021. Now she has stated that one of the songs from that album is about Olivia. Billie is quite fascinated by Olivia’s musical crafts. And she thinks, Olivia’s album ‘Guts’ is quite ‘adorable’.

Both these artists emerged in their teenage years and established themselves in the music industry. Now both of them have become global sensations by showcasing their talent. Billie has said that she has a sense of ‘protectiveness’ when it comes to the 14 months younger singer. She has also said ‘I think everybody’s experiences are so individual… Nobody has had anybody else’s life, you know? But I do feel a protectiveness over Olivia. I have a song called ‘Goldwing’ from my last album that’s kind of about her. I’ve never said that to anyone’.

Billie has also stated ‘She was coming up, and she was younger than me, and nobody had ever been younger than me’. That is why, Billie made the song that says what it takes to be in the industry and how one should prepare themselves to be in the industry. She sang in the song ‘They’re gonna tell you what you want to hear, then they’re gonna disappear. Gonna claim you like a souvenir, just to sell you in a year’.

While talking about Olivia she said ‘Olivia was getting big, and she was just, like, this little dainty child… I felt so nervous. I was worried about her. She came up in that acting world, and people are so weird. I don’t know — I just felt very protective over her. And I feel that way to everyone’.

From all these, it can be understood, that even after being a young artist herself, she has a protective nature for all the other young artists too. This quality of hers assists everyone to understand how Billie is as a human being. The artist has also said ‘I just see myself in all these young girls. And it’s the girls, man. Boys can handle themselves. They’re dudes — they don’t have to deal with it like we do, I just want to hold everybody in a little glass box and never let anything touch them’.
