BLACKPINK singer Rosé has officially signed to The Black Label. She is the latest from the group to sign a different label as a solo artist. The label is headed by BLACKPINK‘s longtime producer Teddy Park. While all the members are still signed under YG Entertainment for any group activity, all four members of BLACKPINK have now officially signed with other labels to continue solo endeavors. On June 18, The Black Label confirmed in a press statement to SportsWorldi, that BLACKPINK’s Rosé had signed a “management contract” with the agency. The statement also read that the singer signed the agreement with the K-pop agency “based on deep trust between [The Black Label founder and] producer Teddy Park and artist Rosé”.

“Rosé is currently preparing to meet global fans with new music, and she plans to engage in music activities worldwide in collaboration with a global record label going forward,” the label added. “We promise to provide full support to ensure that Rosé can be active in various fields.” The Black Label is in association with YG Entertainment, founded by renowned producers and rappers Kush and Teddy Park. The Black Label has already gotten some huge names under them, including actor Park Bo-gum, R&B crooner Zion.T, Jeon So-mi, Big Bang’s Taeyang, and more. Now Rosé is the latest name to join the list of stars!

Teddy Park has been the producer on various BLACKPINK musical hits, including ‘How You Like That’, ‘Kill This Love’, ‘Pink Venom’. The producer was also the one to work with Rosé’s debut solo single album ‘R’. The Korean star made her debut back in 2021 with her single album. She also had solo songs such as ‘Hard to Love’ on the group’s latest album ‘Born Pink’. Just in April of this year, the talented singer and brilliant idol released a new track for the survival reality show I-Land 2: N/a titled, ‘Final Love Song’. Now with the announcement of this new chapter as a solo artist with The Black Label and the way she teased the snippet of a new song called ‘Vampirehollie’ on her birthday this year, fans cannot feel anything but excitement for her.

BLACKPINK renewed its group activities with YG Entertainment, their original agency last year. However, the K-pop girl group decided to take different paths on solo, individual activities. This new strategy allows the group members to pursue solo careers while still being in the group. Following this “together but separate” approach, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo, all have established their own independent labels for their solo musical and acting endeavors. For Rosé, this new agreement with The Black Label marks an exciting new chapter as she too embarks on a new solo adventure with strong support from producer Teddy Park and the group’s various resources.
