BTS And UNICEF Came Up With The Mental Health Initiative

K-pop band BTS is initiating and showing their interest in mental health. Recently, BTS and UNICEF came up together for this particular project. United Nations Children Fund and BTS have announced #OnMyMind. The news has been dropped on 22^nd April, Monday. According to the reports, it is coming to know that, it is the second chapter of their previous campaign Love Myself. Mental health issues are one of the most concerning issues. Due to the lack of awareness, a lot of problems have been seen earlier. But over time, the awareness regarding mental health is increasing, which is really important.

For that reason, K-pop stars are also taking the initiative to bring awareness among everyone. currently, it is seen that youths are being much affected by mental health issues. And the scenario is more or less similar in all around the world. That is why, this initiative has been taken. #OnMyMind is definitely a great thought where one would be able to share their journey and their hard times.

As of now, it is coming to know that every participant will get an electronic postcard, which will be sent by the Korean Committee’s UNICEF website. with the help of the e-postcards, they will be able to share their stories. After sharing the stories, they will be featured on the gallery of the website, so other participants can also read them and take inspiration from them. It can be really helpful for all because one’s story can be useful to motivate others.

By doing all this, they can build a community and provide the required support. Thus, from this campaign, many people will be benefitted who are suffering from mental health issues. Before this, in 2017 BTS and UNICEF came together to do the anti-violence campaign. That campaign was known as the Love Myself campaign. With that particular initiative, they put in their efforts to make the world safer for children. Violence has really increased in the society, which is not an ideal place to grow up. And that is why they came up with that particular campaign.

On this initiative, the BTS member SUGA said ‘I’m delighted and proud that our Love Myself message comes to many people’s minds in their daily lives. But, at the same time, I’m afraid there might be people who still don’t know how to love themselves’. On the other hand, J-Hope stated ‘If you find anyone who needs the strength to love themselves, please reach out first. Please teach them how to love themselves, and give them the energy of hope’.
