South Korean entertainment company Big Hit on the 6th of January came with up their major announcement to several media outlets by confirming that the band of Bangtan Boys, popular with their global name of BTS has canceled their plan for flying to the United States.
The official announcement came right after the U.S. Recording company confirmed the postponement of the 64th Grammy Awards on the 5th of January due to the uprising cases of the Omicron variant of Covid-19 throughout the country. The Grammy’s was scheduled to take place on the 31st of January at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles.
The BTS is well renowned throughout the world for their K-Pop and they got nominated at the Grammys Award ceremony for the first time for ‘Best Pop duo or Group Performance’ for ‘Dynamite’.
The BTS, nominated for the second time in a row for the ‘Best Pop duo or Group Performance at the 64th Grammy Awards for their chartbuster ‘Butter’ was scheduled to resume their official activities after a period of two months by attending the ceremony. A representative associated with Big Hit Music has confirmed by stating that “BTS had planned to attend the Grammy Awards, but after being informed about the ceremony’s postponement, we have halted all the plans for the group to head to the United States”.
In the statement, it was also mentioned that the decision was taken after careful consideration and analysis with the state officials, health and safety experts, as well as the artists and their brand collaborators.
The representative associated with the band further informed the media outlets by saying “There are no schedule changes to BTS’s upcoming Seoul concert in the month of March”. As far as the year 2022 is concerned, the group’s ‘Permission to dance on stage -Seoul concert is the only confirmed upcoming plan which is set to take place in the month of March.
The Bangtan Boys band (BTS) is also planning to release their brand new album and start a whole new chapter in their careers in the year 2022.
