BTS’s ‘Dynamite’ surpasses One Billion views on YouTube

In less than eight months after its debut, BTS’s global hit ‘Dynamite’ surpassed one billion views on YouTube, gliding its way to enter YouTube’s Billion Views Club!

The ‘Dynamite’ video which was premiered back in August 2020 garnered over 101.1 million views within the first 24 hours, claiming itself as the biggest music video to make its debut on the video platform to date. Moreover, the video also set a record for being YouTube’s biggest premiere with over three million peak views.

‘Dynamite’ which is supposedly the K-pop group’s first song to be performed entirely in English, has been charted in over fifty countries on YouTube. The video claimed the number one position on YouTube Global Top Songs chart and also remained on the chart for over thirty-two weeks straight! Over the weekend, the video hit the benchmark of One Billion views on YouTube making it the fastest climb to that level by a K-pop group.

‘Dynamite’ is the video that keeps popping up. Last year the dynamic video spent almost three weeks at the Number One position on the Billboard Hot 100 and most recently it smashed the record for being at the Number One position on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart.

Apart from this, BTS also achieved over one billion views for their other video titled ‘Boy with Luv’ feat. Halsey (1.197 billion), and ‘DNA’ (1.246 billion). Additionally, the seven-member group has achieved four of the top 10 biggest 24-hour video debuts in the history of YouTube, namely ‘Dynamite’, ‘Boy with Luv’, ‘Life Goes On’, and ‘On’.

According to the latest YouTube reports, BTS is one of the Top 10 most-viewed artists on the giant platform in 2020 who have more than 47.4 million subscribers on their official channel named BANGTANTV.

Moreover, BTS has announced that the group shall return with live streaming of ‘Bang Bang Con 21’ soon on the 17th of April at 2 am on their BANGTANTV YouTube channel.
