It goes without saying that the whole hip-hop industry is currently hooked to the rap battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake; and well, Lamar seems to be clearly winning it. However, things are taking a different pace with Camila Cabello dropping a brand music project featuring a couple of tracks with Drake. Taking things a notch higher, Cabello is ready to come up with her brand studio album “C,XOXO” released on June 28.
Whether it was an intentional collaboration or not, the chemistry between the Cuban singer and the American rapper seems to be quite engaging for many. The album also offers other collaborations with artists like Playboi Carti, Lil Nas X, as well as JT and Yung Miami. However, the two tracks with Drake namely,‘Hot Uptown’ and ‘Uuugly’ are currently buzzing among the fans.
In the trippy composition of ‘Hot Uptown’, Camila and Drake seem to trying hard to forget their past love while struggling to be wrapped up in the past memories. Emotionally engaging and visually compelling; the track has already gathered much attention. Some of the lines from the tracks go like, “When it’s hot uptown / And you miss my love / Tryna calm me down / Couldn’t make this up / Hot uptown / Do you miss my love? / Do you want me back?.”
The other song, ‘Uuugly’ is more of an interlude that features mostly Drake and Camila in the background. Some of the verse by Drake goes like, “There’s not a measuring tape long enough that could measure the distance that I went for you / Please don’t make me, please don’t make me / Don’t make me pull out these credit card statements and show you the proof / It’ll get ugly.” Both, of the tracks are currently available on major music platforms.
“C,XOXO” is quite an important music project for Cuban superstar Camila Cabello after her break up with Shawn Mendes. On the other hand, the features by Drake are important for him as well since he needs to rebuild the empire which is almost demolished by Kendrick.
“C,XOXO” is the fourth studio album by Camila Cabello that offers a total of 14 amazing tracks. There are many high octane tracks ‘I LUV IT’ with Playboi Carti, ‘HE KNOWS’ with Lil Nas X, ‘koshi xoxo’ with BLP KOSHER, etc to name some. Stay tuned to find out more, and check out the latest album.
