In a shocking event, American rapper King Von was shot dead outside a nightclub in Atlanta early morning on 6th November. The spokesperson at the Atlanta Police Department revealed that the 26-year-old rapper died in a shooting involving two groups of men and two off-duty police officers. Three people involved in the incident died succumbing to their wounds. Three have been hospitalized suffering from severe wounds. The police department also informed that the police officers were not injured at the incident. The Atlanta Police Homicide Department is investigating the whole incident.

The Atlanta-based rapper was born and bred on the South Side of Chicago. His rap career began in 2018. He was signed with his friend and collaborator Lil Durk’s Only The Family (OTF) label. His soundtrack ‘Crazy Story’ that was released in December 2018 became his breakout song. The song was a part of Durk’s Only The Family Involved Vol. 2 label compilation. King Von also released ‘Crazy Story 2.0 and ‘Crazy Story Pt. 3’ later.
King Von’s debut mixtape Grandson, Vol. 1 was released in September 2019. The mixtape was followed by his next project Levon James dropping in March 2020. And just a week ago Von released an album called Welcome to O-Block. The album features guest performers such as Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Polo G, Moneybagg Yo, and many more.
Prominent figures in the industry like Chance the Rapper and YG have expressed grief and paid tribute to him on their social media.
