He has been dropping several solo numbers in the last few weeks including this one. The music video has received more than 2.4 million views in just a few hours since it was released.
DaBaby has always been bold in terms of his lyrics and his rapping style, which has catered to his popularity. The same amount of bravado can be found in the latest single, ‘Red Light Green Light’. The unique use of instrumentation has taken the melodic level up a notch. The prolific artist makes sure to let the listeners know that he is not like his contemporaries like he always does. He was previously accused of playing it safe. He has satisfied the critics by experimenting with different layers and textures of rhythms and sounds in the track. The comment section on YouTube is filled with praises from hip hop enthusiasts all over the globe.
The music video released on Friday, June 25th features the artist in all his glory. He is seen throwing a crazy barbeque party in his backyard. The visuals are perfect reminiscents of ‘Nutty Professor’ or ‘Boyz N The Hood’.
This week, DaBaby revealed that he will be teaming up with boohooMAN for a summer collection. It will be released on June 30th.
In his interview with Billboard, he said that the partnership is beneficial for both of them. He considers it as a blessing, which made the collaboration easy. As they are offering him ‘the opportunity and creative input on the designs’, the partnership became silky smooth.
