Spanish singer Rosalía Tobella has come up with her brand-new music video “DELIRIO DE GRANDEZA.” In less than 15 hours, the video has amassed more than 650k views.
Rosalía released the official music video for “DELIRIO DE GRANDEZA” from her recently released album MOTOMAMI on Wednesday on her YouTube channel.
The video features the singer doing several activities outdoors. The eye-catching visuals and excellent video choreography have attracted a lot of viewers in a very short time.
The video shows the singer-songwriter running through fields with her dog, cutting wood with a chainsaw, and setting up camp with her own fire.
With a bow and arrow, the singer runs through creeks and prances through the mud in the music video.
The singer sings in Spanish in the chorus “The ambition, the delusion of grandeur/Made of me a martyred being. Because I was madly in love/Woman, I don’t deserve such lowness.”
The latest music video based on the theme of nature is a dramatic contrast to her previously choreographed videos for her album MOTOMAMI, which were occasionally futuristic and dance-filled.
Mitch Ryan directed the video, which was shot in Downsville, New York.
MOTOMAMI was launched back in April, which included 16 songs and featured The Weekend on “LA FAME” and Tokischa on “LA COMBI VERSACE,” as well as collaborations from Pharrell & Chad Hugo, James Blake, Frank Dukes, and Cory Henry. El Mar Querer is her first solo full-length album since 2018.
Rosalía claimed in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 that this was her “hardest album” to make.
She said, “I’m very grateful to all the people that have been part of the album, but this album wouldn’t exist without the sacrifice and the dedication and the blood, sweat, tears, literally.”
She added, “Being far from home for almost two years. Being far from the people I love for almost two years because I never did that in my life and I don’t know if I could do it again because honestly, it was really tough.”
Rosalía, who appeared on Saturday Night Live in March to play “CHICKEN TERIYAKI” and “LA FAMA,” is currently preparing for her world tour, which will begin in Spain in July.
