76-year old Dolly Parton has recently said to the Insider that she loves starting her day early at 3 a.m. The singer also claimed that it is a Parton family trait.
Dolly Parton’s days begin at 3, even though she sings about working from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3 a.m. to be exact.
An insider recently spoke with the country music queen about her new line of Southern desserts with Duncan Hines, as well as her (very early) daily ritual.
Parton said, “I don’t need a whole lot of sleep, I go to bed pretty early, but even if I’ve been up late — it’s just kind of like a little clock inside of me that says ‘it’s 3 o’clock!”
She continued, “I do some of my best work there, but I get enough sleep, I don’t require as much sleep as a lot of other people do, that’s kind of a Parton family trait.”
Parton’s late father, Robert Lee Parton, was also an early riser, according to her.
She said, “I’m like my daddy, He was always up early, even if he had to go to bed late.”
Parton claimed she doesn’t have any huge skin-care secrets for looking refreshed, although she is an early riser.
Parton added, “I don’t do any big rituals with my skin or anything, and I don’t think you have to pay a ton of money to have good products. Most of the products that cost less are just as good, and sometimes better than the ones that cost a fortune.”
She continued, “I don’t buy for fame, I just buy the ones that work for me.”
Parton, who turned 76 in January, also attributes her flawless skin to the fact that she never took sunbath while she was younger.
She said, “I never got out in the sun, I don’t have a lot of the same problems that women my age do ’cause I never baked myself in the sun. I would’ve if I’d been able to tan but I couldn’t, so now I’m glad!”
