Dua Lipa’s latest musical work ‘Dance the Night’ is breaking all the charts while topping the week’s new music poll. Music lovers have voted on a poll arranged on Friday, May 26 by Billboard.
Most fans have chosen the song ‘Dance the Night’ the ‘Barbie’ movie song that is creating a huge buzz. It has become their favorite new music release of the past week. The song has brought over 37% of the total votes, beating the latest releases of other music artists such as d4vd, Taylor Swift, Lil Durk, Peso Pluma, and many others on the list.
While ‘Dance the Night’ stays atop with 37.22% of votes, Taylor Swifts trails behind with 21.67% votes for ‘Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition)’, 17.78% votes for “Snow on the Beach (feat. More Lana Del Rey)” and lastly, 13.33% votes for the track “Karma (feat. Ice Spice)”.
The disco-tinged musical arrangement along with Lipa’s melodic vocals, the track is receiving much love from the music lover around the globe. Featured as the ‘Barbie’ movie song, it is co-written by Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Caroline Ailin. The song was co-produced by Picard Brothers and Wyatt as well.
It doesn’t require to say that its stylish synth elements offer a potential dose of energy that feels like an extension of Lipa’s last musical project and album ‘Future Nostalgia’ which gained wild success. With the subject matters of broken hearts and complicated romances, it felt quite relatable for everyone while offering an invitation to join the dance floor.
It is not just the song but Lipa will be also playing a role in the movie ‘Barbie’ where she would be playing the character of a mermaid doll along with the stars Ryan Gosling as Ken and Margot Robbie as Barbie.
The official soundtrack of the movie ‘Barbie’ has not been released yet, named ‘Barbie the Album’ where Ronson serves as executive producer. It is scheduled to drop on the same date as the release of the movie on July 21. Other than Dua Lipa, many other artists’ works have been featured in the soundtrack such as Charli XCX, Nicki Minaj, Lizzo, Ice Spice, and PinkPantheress.
