Ed Sheeran Shares His Experience Taking Taylor Swift to a Local Pub

Music artist Ed Sheeran revealed that one time he brought along his longtime friend and one of the most successful pop artists in the world to his local pub. However, this is not the news. The news is that even with such a high-profile guest, nobody recognized her that night!

The story came out during one of the interviews on U.K. radio station KISS. The ‘Shape of Your’ singer shared on the talk show, “I took Taylor [to my local pub] once”. He continued saying, “But when I took Taylor there, no one really clocked [that it was her]. It was like a week later that the person behind the bar was like, ‘Did you bring Taylor Swift in here last week?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ But no one clocked it at the time.”

Swift and Sheeran are longtime friends who have collaborated on a couple of songs off of the upcoming ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ album which is set to release on November 19. He also appeared on Swift’s 2012 album, ‘Red’.

While sharing the fun incident, Ed Sheeran also said what happened when he took another artist along with him to his local pub. It was no other than British rapper Stormzy. He went on to share, “It was one of those ones where the locals were trying to be funny with him.”But it just ended up being like, ‘Oh no, can you not say that, please.'” So, his incident with Stormzy was completely different from that with Taylor Swift.

During his appearance on the radio show, Sheeran also talked about his daughter Lyra who recently turned one. Talking about his daughter and his role, he shared that he is a major ‘dad fail’.

Sheeran said that Lyra has never consumed sugar up until that point. However, he was incidentally eating a Magnum ice cream bar and he let her daughter taste it.

He admitted laughing, “She loved it. She loved it. So yeah, that was kinda my fail ’cause now I’ve introduced her to the world of chocolate.”
