Artist Ed Sheeran recently came out with his single, ‘Bad Habits’ that marks his official comeback to the music industry after a hiatus of two years. For the song that he co-produced and co-wrote, he collaborates with FRED of No.6 Collaborations Project and Johnny McDaid of ‘Shape of You’.
The video for the song is directed by Dave Meyers. The video has Sheeran come alive on the screen as his alter-ego, the vampire as he sets out to paint the town red with his accompaniments, ghouls, and goblins.
The singer said in a statement, “Feels great to be back with my new single. I wanted the video for ‘Bad Habits’ to play on the nature of habits in a fantastical way so I decided on vampires. It was mega fun getting into character except for the heights (that wasn’t so fun). Enjoy x”
The song ‘Bad Habits’ will be featuring in his upcoming 5th studio album. This song also marks the first release following the No.6 Collaborations Project release back in July 2019. Sheeran decided to take a break from music following his 260-show Divide Tour. In August 2020, he became a proud father of his first child.
Ed Sheeran has been inspiring the youth as one of the most celebrated pop artists in the world for the past decade now. His music has always surprised everyone with its new avatars and compelled the audience to accept his songs with more love. His new song, ‘Bad Habits’ also portrays a musical lineage close to the artist’s creative legacy but with a twist. Especially, the video will definitely make you look at Sheeran differently as he hones the identity of a glamorous, modern-day vampire complete with black nails and high cheeks.
