Soundcloud is considered the biggest audio streaming platform for almost a decade. Now it is getting bigger than ever. Reliable sources shared to MBW that Eliah Seton, the internationally acclaimed Warner Music Group pioneer is looking for a perfect day to join Soundcloud music service in a senior role.

If the insider’s story is right then getting Seton in the Soundcloud team is going to be a massive success for Soundcloud CEO, Michael Weissman. The new CEO of Soundcloud has brought the service’s “fan-powered” royalty model earlier this month. Then he made the headline for appointing Troy Carter to SoundCloud’s board in February. 2021 has come with big plans for Soundcloud. If Eliah Seton joins the platform, it’s a huge coup for the new CEO.

Eliah Seton left Warner Music Group. It has been confirmed by the mainstay on April 7. In the latest press release, an ex WMG veteran shared that he’s going to be “sharing my next chapter with everyone very soon”.

Seton flourished his career in New York and he excelled in his skills while working with the great music company for over a decade. He used to lead the company’s international independent services channel, ADA Worldwide, for the last six years.

This brings to fetching a cordial relationship with the global independent community. He worked with many major labels and artists and earned their trust for being a part of the music company. His ability to bond with worldwide artists and labels gives him the scope to explore the space in the indie-orientated Soundcloud.

The inception of a new chapter with Eliah Seton gives hints that SoundCloud is making serious business with independent labels soon. Seton tapped into outstanding M&A experience while playing a linchpin in WMG’s strategic progression globally, mainly in China and Eastern Europe.

Soundcloud is going to invest capital in M&A and SiriusXM’s investment of $75m is the add-on. In November 2020, more than 12 million creators enlisted and were recognized on Soundcloud every month.
